Step above the rest
Let's face it, once you learn the game interface and how to be successful, MMOGs are only as engaging as the community. EVE has a great one. If only more fantasy only MMOG players gave the space genre a shot, I think they would come to the realization I have. I've been playing fantasy MMOGs since summer 1998 and EVE is refreshing. Not monotonous, fun, engaging and skills are increased in real time, like Neo DLing combat in "The Matrix". What you do during your active play time is PvP, Mine(Industrial), gain faction by running missions(combat or courier), work with your Corporation to fulfill it's goals, tackle faction based efforts revolving around politics and interact with the community.
In some respects I feel like I've wasted time on some fantasy MMOGs of late like SB and L2 in particular.
EVE is a step above the rest.

The Power of EVE
For the past week I've been playing lineage 2, nice game decent graphics, good gameplay. Done some grouping, joined a clan, did some solo'ing, tried a good deal of classes. In the end I went with a elven mystic, while playing that char solo you end up sitting down a lot so spend some time reading several L2 forums.
Now you think what does that have to do with EVE. During that week I realized just how spoiled we the EVE players are, and just how good a job CCP, ISD, and the GMs are doing.
We've got devs that listen, devs that talk, but most importantly devs that care about their game not only cause it's what earns them their money but cause they too love the game. There are a lot of examples, but after 6 months of nothing but EVE you stop seeing it, and you start taking it for granted.
So this is a big thank you to CCP, you are doing a awesome job, and provide us with the best game one could dream of. A thank you to the moderators ( even if they just locked a great discussion, next time take a bit longer to show up :P please ) you keep this forum readible and usable. And a thank you for the GMs that are actually friendly and helpfull. And a big thank you for the community, which is one of the best around IMHO.

A tribute to CCP
I felt the need to E-mail you and tell you how great I think CCP is. I
played ultima online on and off for years and found in a nutshell that OSI
really dont give one about their customers. Problems from their customers
always tended to result in the obligitory (not our problem). However since I
have been playing eve all I've found is that CCP bends over backwards to
improve the game and to make its players feel wanted and not like just
another number :o) One of my corp mates SirOmega had a row withhis wife and
she deleated his char and you guys were right on it, offering to re-enstate
his character and even give him a free month!!! This is the kind of
pro-active customer service that really sets eve aside from other online
games and the skill building system is perfect (no one can just exploit to
max out al their skills in one day or buy a bazillion isk on ebay and jump
streight into a battleship and randomly start blowing everything up.
I think CCP is awsome and eve is the best online game I've ever played and
cant honestly ever imagine myself leaving eve in favour of another onliner
if you keep this up.
CCP we salute you!

Great job
I would only like to thank you for this game. I see a lot of people saying thing that?s some if not most of us don?t agree with. I honestly think that CCP has done a great job with the game over all. In my option you have done a great job at balancing out the game for both the pvp player and the non-pvp player. I haven?t been playing long but I have really enjoyed my time on the servers and would like to thank you for doing such a great job. I can tell you that you have found a customer for the life of this game or until I can no longer afford to play. Please keep up the good work and I look forward to playing this great game for years to come.

OMG
omg.. CCP is just too good to be true.. -actual real live truthful answers to the issues at hand.. Had any of you whiners had a year's experience with EA and Earth and Beyond's spindoctor devs and marketing people, you'd would be licking CCP's boots and wearing a ball gag on a daily basis if they asked you to in appreation of what they achieve with such a complex product..
-you just have no clue as to how good we have it with CCP..
-none whatsoever.
The honesty and "up-front" dialogue that they have with their customers is nothing short of remarkable..for ANY game or software company in the industry for that matter..
heck, players can suggest improvments to the gameplay and if they are sweet enough , they'll get hotfixed into the game within 2 weeks.. (!!??) -f'n remarkable.
please, go ahead and rag on that little pearl so we know for certain that anything you utter out of your mouth is null and void..
CCP and their Dev's are hands down the best team of people the software industry has offer.. i would go so far
as saying they should be a model company by which all other software companies should aspire to achieve in regards to development and customer relations..
BIG Props CCP for responding to the influx of new players
in such a timly manner...(-that EA so ungraciously
orphaned)
you guys are aces in my book anyday of the week. keep up the great work. -we all appreciate it very much.

Thank you
Hi there,
EVE is one of the most sensational gaming experiences i’ve ever had. From the first splash screen until logging out, everything looks and feels like one piece. And also visiting the website is a lot of fun, reading stories, checking out patch updates, all the new stuff at the store, there’s a lot to see and read, and it is always interesting.
Thank you, and keep up the good work!
