One of the events leading up to Fanfest 2007 was the Alter Ego contest, where players were asked to compete in who could create the best meld of themselves and their avatars. We received a myriad of wonderful entries, most of them very inventive, a few surprising, and some just plain strange. The winner was announced with great fanfare at Fanfest, during the Party at the Top of the World, and was called up on stage where she received a selection of shirts from the EVE store, a signed copy of the Art of EVE book, and six months of free gametime, not to mention the adulation and inebriated cheers from the happy partygoers.
