Solar Fleet Attempts to Gain Ground in Geminate

Geminate, U-L4KS: In what has been reported as "an attempt to gain a foothold in the Geminate region", SOLAR FLEET [SOLAR] forces engaged elements of the Wildly Inappropriate. [WI.] alliance, losing fourteen of their carriers in the process.

Tomcat, of Lone Star Joint Venture [LSJV], alliance leader for [WI.] reports that during an operation to take down several SOLAR FLEET towers "[SOLAR] shows up in the system U-L4KS, with their fleet of forty to fifty, mostly battleships, and begins to hit a jump bridge tower in that system." Tomcat goes on to set the stage by stating "we jump in, bubbles go up and the fight begins; both sides were heavy RR-based (remote repairing) so a nice slugfest begins."

What happens next is a gradual escalation of "capital ship support drops", first by [WI.], followed by [SOLAR]. The exact number of carriers on the field is not known, but it is estimated at over thirty combined total.

When the fight ended, Solar Fleet suffered a loss of fourteen carriers, while Wildly Inappropriate. lost none. According to DENWIR, member of The First Foundation [TFFN], fleet Commander for [SOLAR] two mistakes contributed to this loss: allowing the battle to take place in range of the [WI.] tower which "interrupted the spider tank on the carriers with it’s constant jamming" and "being surprised by the [WI.] reinforcements, which made the numbers 64 vs. 191."

While Tomcat acknowledges that this battle did not change the balance of power between the two opposing alliances, he feels that "this was definitely a morale boost for [WI.]; having such a decisive victory... as far as overall status of geminate, it still fully remains under WI control."

G.A.N.J.A. Launches Attack On Minmatar Republic Targets

Abudban, Heimatar – On 1st November, G.A.N.J.A. commenced with their first violent protest against the Minmatar Republic, targeting the transport convoys within the Abudban system. Two Chandlers, two Traffickers and one Merchant became the first casualties.

After previous peaceful demonstrations failed to garner a response, G.A.N.J.A. moved their plans forward and attacked three regions simultaneously within the Minmatar Republic in what they hoped would damage the Minmatar economy in retribution for damage done to Ammatar farmers during The Elder Invasion of YC110.

On this night alone, there were a total of 26 ships destroyed with an estimated total value of 11.000.000 ISK, with approximately 5.500.000 ISK worth of goods salvaged from the wrecks. By selling the goods recovered from the convoys they destroy, G.A.N.J.A. hopes to stimulate trade and improve the local Ammatar economy.

While scouting for another convoy to attack, Severed Savior, a High Scholar within G.A.N.J.A. said: "As our membership grows, we can raid [more]; we plan some daring raids into the heart of the so-called Republic. Of course we cannot disclose pending operations, but they will be spectacular."

G.A.N.J.A. hopes for more support from capsuleers as their protests become more widespread and violent. With no official response to G.A.N.J.A.'s demands, it remains to be seen how far G.A.N.J.A. are willing to go in their protest.

BIG 'Triple Titan' Lottery Drawing Date Extended

BIG has extended the drawing date for their "Triple Titan" lottery an additional thirty days in order to give time for additional capsuleers to get in on the chance to own up to three of New Eden’s most powerful ships. Each of these ships is worth an estimated "seventy to ninety billion isk".

According to TornSoul, CEO of BIG [BIG], "each ticket is valid for all three draws, so ten million isk could win you three titans." The titans, an Avatar-class and two Erebus-class, will be fitted and ready to be boarded by the winner(s). TornSoul states that "if the winner can't fly the titan, we will hold, on the winner’s behalf, a quick 'firesale' auction starting at fifty billion isk."

Thirty thousand tickets are set to be sold for this event. Should there be less than thirty thousand tickets sold by the drawing date, TornSoul states that "all ticket holders will be refunded."

Theft Occurs During 'Ships Of Eve' Free Event

Heimatar, During the "Full Metal Jacket" event organized by T’Amber of Ships of Eve corporation [SOE-E], two participants are alleged to have stolen "400 frigates, 200 or so skill books and a large amount of assorted tech 1 modules" valued at "around 500 million isk." T’Amber, who runs these events for rookie capsuleers has put a hold on giving out any free prizes until "corpses and killmails are supplied".

The event, which was a "red vs. blue" team combat, was to have culminated in the winning team receiving free tickets to an upcoming "Ships of Eve main event" with the "'biggest killer' receiving a tech 2 High Grade Halo Implant set, along with some tech 2 ships, tickets and shares (in the SOE corporation)".

T’Amber has fingered SOE Blood Anarchist, formerly of Ships of Eve Blue Team [SOE-B], now a member of Native Fresh Foods [NF], and SOE Canock [SOE-B] as the alleged perpetrators. Citing reports by fellow team members and "watching the hangar when SOE Canock was in the station, and purposefully disallowing and then re-allowing his rights so that I could actually see the items being stolen" T’Amber considers this proof enough to call for the podding of said pilots. According to T’Amber both pod pilots have ties to the Obsidian Cartel [-.O.-] which is "based in a system next to Rens" and ultimately feels the goods may have been warehoused there in.

Asked whether this will change her approach to these events, T’Amber replied "stealing items from a free event is lame" adding that "I will be adjusting the way I will distribute the free skills and ships with private contracts next time."

The Ships of Eve corporation runs free events for New Eden's pod pilot community which are paid for by "Main Events" that usually cost ten million ISK per ticket to enter.

Ushra'Khan Takes Ownership of Two Stations in Catch

Catch, Ushra’Khan [UNITY], an alliance who describes themselves as "New Eden's oldest 'Freedom Fighters'", has announced that ownership of two Against All Authorities [.-A-.] stations has been transferred to their possession in the Catch region.

UNITY a dedicated foe of the Amarrian "slavers", once fought for dominance of the Providence region, going head to head with the Curatores Veritatis Alliance [CVA], ultimately losing their two stations, "Unity Station" and "The Minmatar Outpost", to them. Since that time Ushra’Khan has resided in the Curse region marshalling its power for a return to Providence.

The station transfers mark a historic moment for the alliance as described by Ugleb, CEO of Sarz’na Khumatari [SARZ] in a speech to the alliance. He says in part, "It has been over two years since the fall of Unity Station, the events of that battle took their toll upon us, and it took a long time, indeed, for us to recover from it" adding further that "for two years we have worked towards this day, and at last we arrive. We stand now stronger than ever before."

It should be noted that the stations, one of which is in V2-VC2, the other in 5-N2EY, lay within easy striking distance of [CVA] assets.

Pirate Corporations Band Together for 'Hulkageddon'

Sinq Laison, A group of pirate corporations and several capsuleers within empire corporations declared a one day pogrom against empire-based miners; the operation was designated "Hulkageddon" and was spread out over multiple regions and systems with fleet commanders coordinating the times of attack.

Members of approximately eighteen corporations took part, including The Python Cartel. [GROP3], I.M.M. [IMM], The Bastards [BSTRD], and Space Jerks [UJERK] alongside members of the empire corporations The Scope [TS], Garoun Investment Bank [GIB] and Sebiestor Tribe [S]; all willing participants in this self described "terrorist act". According to several reports, the organizer of this attack was Helicity Boson of The Python Cartel.

While the exact motivations behind this act are unknown, Hulkageddon involved a concerted effort to hunt down and destroy empire based miners, despite the certainty of CONCORD intervention. A GalNet notice posted by the offenders claims that the group engaged and destroyed "66 Exhumers, 22 mining barges and 27 pods", with no losses incurred by return fire from their victims.

Attacking ship types, as described by Kobrakilla [UJERK], were "primarily Catalysts and several battleships fitted with smart bombs." In addition to security rating penalties, most of the capsuleers involved lost their ships to the CONCORD response fleets.

Kobrakilla describes "stunned silence" as the only response of their victims to these attacks, followed by other potential targets "docking up en masse." He estimates the combined ship loss for Hulkageddon participants to be approximately "300 disposable ships, paid for by insurance and loot", adding that so many Catalysts were lost to CONCORD that at one point "we bought Jita out of Catalysts."

This attack serves to underscore the continuing need for all capsuleers to be vigilant of their surroundings and exercise due caution regardless of the security status of the system that they are in. Kobrakilla’s closing remark serves to further reinforce the point, he states that "this…is not…the end."

None of the victims contacted could be reached for comment.

Breaking News - CVA disband

Breaking News - Curatores Veritatis Alliance [CVA] stunned New Eden just hours ago when they appeared to disband their alliance, and rumours began to circulate.

Elsebeth Rhiannon of Electus Matari, gave her understanding of the situation: “All sorts of rumours are circulating, of course. The most popular one seems to be that it was an inside job, possibly including unauthorised access to Neocom.”

CVA breaking down is seen as a good moment for opposing alliances, some believing that it would benefit the Amarr loyalists in Empire Space.

Tigerfish Torpedo of The Crimson Federation gave this statement: “As a lowly Maggot Scum Sucking Pirate [once decreed by Equinox], efforts to destroy CVA couldn't have come as better news! I hope to see Ushra’Khan rebuild their power base in Providence, and will offer my full support in doing so. It’s a great day!”

The Ushra’Khan are bitter enemies of CVA, however Spokesperson Sapphrine, expressed his belief that CVA should never be underestimated: “CVA are a monstrous agency for the Amarr, I would never assume that they are down and out. The name may well be gone or there may have been an issue with the concord records of sovereignty, but they still hold a serious amount of wealth and power.”

There are a lot of alliances that would like to see the back of CVA, however within the last couple of hours; a temporary alliance was set-up to aid capsuleers under the name of .cva. with an official statement released to explain the situation.

The Second Chance Express - Amarr Nuns Rescue Ejected Passengers

Niarja, Domain - Humans that are being spaced and left for dead are given a second chance at life by rescuers from the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint Katherine [SHOSK].

Nuns from the Order have been shepherding stranded space travellers back to safety after they have been left out in the cold by their previous captains.

Louella Dougans of SHOSK revealed that the nuns pick up between 100 and 300 stranded space travellers in a typical week. “I come across them quite often, particularly at stargates” she said. “The Niarja-Kaaputenen gate frequently has people thrown overboard from passing ships. I have rescued over 500 from that one system.” She explained her theory that the gate's position on the main route from Amarr to Jita made it a popular dumping ground for unwanted passengers.

The nuns claim to ask no material payment for their services. “The only reward we hope to get is a promise from the rescuees to try and be better [people]”. The nuns do not discriminate between the people they save and will rescue all races, faiths and occupations.

The nuns take all the refugees safely to the closest station with medical facilities; in the case of Niarja this is the Ministry of Assessment Bureau Offices at Bahrombab V. According to Sister Dougans, some of the passengers require medical attention. “Not so much physically, but mentally. Being left to drift in space puts a lot of strain on people… claustrophobia and such. I'm no medical expert though.”

“It often comes as a great surprise to others, especially Minmatar, that a religious Amarr can be compassionate. I'd been looking for something to do and it dawned on me that rescuing people in need was one of the best things to do, as capsuleers have a bad reputation. Maybe this sort of thing will help to show [people that] capsuleers aren't all monsters”.

The Amarr faith's following has grown in recent times, expanding into new regions. A recent survey from the Republic University reported that the belief has even gained a foothold in the Minmatar Republic, in the form of improvised churches catering to small communities, but the religion and its adherents continue to be treated with suspicion, if not outright hate. The Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint Katherine's programme to rescue jettisoned passengers does not, so far, seem to have impacted the scepticism with which their beliefs are regarded, but it will almost certainly be well regarded by the faith's existing adherents.

G.A.N.J.A. Protest Held in Rens

Rens, Heimatar - Following on from a recent article by The Interstellar Correspondents, G.A.N.J.A. corporation held a non-violent protest in Rens where they and 3 other corporations (the identity of which has not been revealed by the G.A.N.J.A. spokesperson) self-destructed some 79 ships.

The protesters gathered at the Brutor tribe Treasury located at planet VI, moon 8 in Rens; the station is a popular local trade hub. G.A.N.J.A's demonstration took the same form as their previous protest in Orvolle - they docked in the station, undocked and self-destructed their ships, then redocked in their capsules before repeating the process.

G.A.N.J.A. have warned that this will be their last non-violent protest; the Minmatar Republic have made no official response to the protestors' call for compensation for Ammatar farmers who suffered damage to their plantations at the hands of a Minmatar-Thukker slave recovery force.

Kimberly Hughes, the spokesperson for G.A.N.J.A, expressed outrage at the continued silence of the Minmatar Parliament and revealed plans to escalate their protests. "We shall strike at various convoys in the Minmatar State [sic]. We shall hit the Minmatar where they hit the Ammatar, through their trade; we shall try to collapse the economy!"

Despite the peaceful nature of the Rens protest, G.A.N.J.A. had difficulties with one capsuleer, who caused some disturbance by salvaging wrecks of their destroyed ships. Though G.A.N.J.A. had battleships standing by, the protest remained non-violent despite the actions of this pilot - a well-known local anti-hero by the name of Menod Penter. Penter, known as "The Mayor of Rens" has operated in Rens for many years with his small crime syndicate, but he also runs a very successful operation selling anchorable secure containers.

Kimberly revealed how G.A.N.J.A. have responded to their encounter with the racketeer. "We have received intelligence about an individual who calls himself the 'Mayor of Rens' and we in G.A.N.J.A feel it would be nice to have his corpse hanging on meat hooks in our hangers."

Members within G.A.N.J.A. have recieved orders to kill Mr Penter on sight, as they see him as a high-profile target that would help them gain publicity and support for their cause. Whether such attempts will result in "suicide by CONCORD" or a declaration of war will be issued remains to be seen.

With attacks threatened across the Minmatar Republic from G.A.N.J.A, Kimberly claimed the silence from the Minmatar government only encourages them. "For every moment that passes, we simply get angrier and angrier and plan even yet more cataclysmic consequences."

Last Stand Alliance Honors Fallen Member

Bika- A memorial service was held for Last Stand [LS] alliance diplomat Psi Cloned of Forsaken Resistance [FRCRP]. Psi Cloned’s sudden and unexpected death prompted his alliance mates to hold this "sending off" in "honor of his life, and his contributions to their lives" states Marrick Drak of Senatus Populusque Romanus [SPQR2][LS].

As described by Marrick, "the service was held in the Bika system, at a planet, we anchored an arc of cans labeled to pay tribute to him, and in the center of this arc we placed a fraction of his corpse collection; 554 corpses to be exact", adding further that, "a few of the corpses were 'donated' by fellow alliance members who podded themselves, regardless of augmentations, in order to ensure that they too could dance in the vacuum of space in honor of our fallen comrade."

According to Littlefinger, CEO of Forsaken Resistance and Executor of the Last Stand alliance, "Psi was best known, hands down, for helping others with his time, assets and knowledge and putting their needs in front of his own. He was a great conversationalist and worked tirelessly at learning the needs and wants of everyone in the alliance."

Tshal [FRCRP][LS], his long time girlfriend, also a capsuleer, has been given access to Psi Cloned’s hangar and will attempt to continue his legacy within the alliance. Jaana Brill of Frequent Flyers [FFLG][LS] adds lastly, that "his friends miss him something awful."

Fighting Erupts in Curse As Newcomers Move In

LJ-YSW, Curse – Tensions have risen sharply in Curse after Darkside. moved into Hale constellation. Local residents Kahora Catori spoke out on GalNet, claiming that Darkside. are invading their home to gain access to the Serpentis and Angel Cartel agents that occupy the area.

The Hale constellation already sees frequent and vicious engagements between allies, Kahora Catori, Panda Supremacy and Blade. and Gentlemen's Club and Triumvirate, among others.

Atropos Kahn of Kahora Catori gave his alliance's view on the new conflicts engendered by Darkside's arrival. "Hopefully, we can find some sort of political solution, but in the meantime we are counting on our [capsuleers] to knuckle down."

Darkside's spokesperson, Miracle, seemed confident that they could keep a foothold in Hale. "Although not all of our forces have moved, there [are] enough of us to dominate in Hale."

The fighting has been fierce with some alliances visiting the system just to seek combat; Gentlemen's Club is one such alliance. Their spokesman, Camaris said "I don't think Darkside. will last long. They are a strong force but not strong enough to run their own alliance and fight a force that has been living there for so long."

The arrival of Darkside. has certainly stirred a pot that was already boiling. Fighting has become intense in the Hale area and while Darkside. attempt to unsettle alliances like Kahora Catori, there are others, like Gentlemen's Club, who drop into the fracas periodically and engage all-comers. The area currently remains hotly contested with thousands of ships already destroyed in the ongoing battles.

It is also part of our vision of an independent Intaki... I hope that people will understand the [ILF]'s agenda is multi-pronged: martial, economic and political. Thus far, everyone seems to assume that we are just a disorganized fighting force looking to make trouble, but far from it."

Most of the estimated 600 million ISK revenue generated so far has gone into improving the infrastructure of the starbase. With the [ILF] earning millions from their new facility, it remains to be seen if they will have any lasting impact on conditions in the area.
