Hello Everyone

I have finally updated my Blueprint Profit Calculator to take into account Trinity data. When I came to post the new version I found the old thread had auto-locked Embarassed.

I have been working on a calculator that lets me work out the cost of producing any given item. This is the result. Feel free to use this how you see fit and as always I am open to suggestions/ideas/comments on future improvements. You will require MS Office 2000 or later to open the spreadsheet or the latest version of OpenOffice.org.

I have made this version in Excel 2007 so if there are any weird things that appear, please let me know and I'll try to fix them. There are still no T2 or COSMOS items and I still have to load in some data on the lookup table. I will get the missing data loaded in ASAP (maybe Tuesday at this rate).

Blueprint Profit Calculator (v1.1.2)

Features

* All Tech 1 Blueprints (as of Trinity export)
* Total Margin Per Unit
* Estimated Completion Time
* Recommended ME Level
* Recommended PE Level
* Stocklevel Calculator - now updates with sorting!
* Accurate Required Materials Listings (based on the inputed skill levels)

That looks great..

When I open the excel sheet though, it has automatic links to another workbook called BP_Profit_calc

but I cannot find it, or am I missing something?

Cannot wait for you to finish it though. it is great..

no you aren't missing anything. its from me forgetting to unlink the old table which i looked up off for some of the data. you can safely ignore that.

Great stuff, Azia Burgi. Keep up the good work!

I found something's missing in Sheet "New Front End" cell F16 , where you label as "Runs needed to pay for the BP:"
What's missing in the formula is "divide by numbers of unit / manufacturing run".
It is supposed to be "=ROUNDUP(BPCost/Margin/B7,0)"

Correct me if i'm wrong.

Thanks.

For the record, this new version does not work correctly in Excel 2000.
In particular, it is not correctly loading data from the Lookup tab.

if you click in column B then click on the Z->A icon on the toolbar it will bring the relevant materials for that blueprint to the top. if you are still having issues contact me ingame and i'll talk you through it.

ironwool, no problems here.

yes the database lists the materials required as perfect (no wastage) if you have a look on the lookup sheet you will see it lists the requires the same as the database. i have to add the wastage factor on to the base requirements then take it off depending on the skill levels and blueprint ME.

darn NM on the STB I mat reqs, the Database on the eve HP is outdatet ;p just checked the BPO ingame.

And some items in the lookup seem to miss infos one em (Warp Disruption Field Generator I for instance). Changing em or myself right now with ingame infos.

oh and i guess that only hits german users of this tool, in the formula for the Estimatet TTC needs the dd changed to tt to show correctly.

Just checked your 1.1.1. nice done. I like the warning selling for loss Very Happy just still some missing inos in the lookup^^ go on that way MyLord

v1.1.1 is the latest version.

yeah i know about the Warp Disruption Field Generator I and a few others. these items didn't pull out of the database cleanly i'm having to manually lookup the data and input it. Its on the back burner until after my exams on wednesday 28th may.

well the dd thing works if you have your regional settings set to british Rolling Eyes. if i change it to tt on my computer it puts in "tt", i guess this is just one of those things that people using non-english software are just going to have to change themselves. sowwie Sad

A thing ive done to my version was, coloring all fields i am allowed to change (insert data or drop down) removing the locked tag on those fields, and locking the workpage, so i dont overwrite accidently an invisible formula.
and GL on your examen^^

Does this need to be updated for the rounding change in the new patch with runs?

Is there a way to make it so that the data sort also sorts the stock as well, so that if I put in current stock it keeps the current stock figures next to the item after a sort is done?

I will have to check the rounding thing after I get the new data.

I know the stocklevel is annoying but it has to be separate otherwise when you sort it the headers are sorted too. But I have an Idea, let me see what i can do.

Excellent work. However, this seems to be a profit calculator for manufacturing, not for blueprints. The title led me to believe it was a calculator for blueprint research.

just researching a blueprint won't make it profitable. You have to do manufacturing to recoup the loss of buying and researching the blueprint. I'm not certain what you expected.

well, you can buy a BPO ME0, PE0, research it to ME20, PE10 (or w/e) and sell it for profit. Variables like installation cost of research job, cost of research per hour would be needed taken in account while determining the profitability.

Just a quick question:

Ideal ME is reporting "Err:502" for me, is there some field I am missing, or is there a broken link somewhere?

Currently running the latest version of OpenOffice.

Sorry, very new to manufacturing, not to mention OpenOffice :P

It sounds like an openoffice error. What blueprint are you looking at?
