We immediately confronted Aneu, who danced around the issue for a few minutes and then agreed he was working on someone and had "basically everyone". He referred to failures of leadership on the part of C4w3 and myself, that we weren't facing the problems, though if we had generalized consent that # of pilots in fleet were a problem that certainly didn't stem from Corp 1 Allstars - our pilots were consistently X'd up in fleets and usually formed the backbone of any active fleet during US TZ/late euro TZ. Aneu's primary goal was wanting to leave Fountain because he felt that the region up through PNQ was unwinnable and that we were deluding ourselves. I disagreed with him and told him so during our leadership meeting the other day. He moved up a channel in our comms, chose not to participate in the meeting, then came back down and started off with the traditional "i'm going to be quite blunt". Much emo ensued.

There was of course a lot of conversations afterwards and fingerpointing up through this morning, a lot of unfriendly things were said on all sides, all very disappointing. Sad that a game has to be this way.

We kicked out DAB from the alliance this morning and closed Aneu's access to the forums to minimize damage. Whether Aneu starts a new alliance or not, and irrespective of what corporations he chooses to take with him or choose to follow him, and why those corps leave is a topic for other parties to discuss. Other corps may or may not be planning on leaving - we haven't heard anything specific from anyone but QUAM who has elected to take their corp elsewhere. We made clear to QUAM yesterday that they are welcome to remove assets with no harassment from us and that offer still stands.

I firmly have the opinion that if you have a problem with someone you come and talk to them about it. Aneu claims nobody could do that with me. I know pilots in the alliance would disagree and I feel that I respected everyone's opinion whether it agreed with mine or not. What this little venture has proved for me is that alliances are best run by a benevolent dictator who has final say, and that democracies don't work. It has also proved to me that everyone has to be united under the same banner and the same set of goals, and we lost that very early on.

Today a combined SOT/PL/others force are reinforcing towers in D4K and surrounding systems. Defense of those will probably not happen due to low activity as stated above.

We would like to say 'gf' to SOT/PL/Arcane/EH and the rest of the Fountain coalition - experienced players will know wars are fought both in games and in propaganda - you guys did a great job and had great leadership and cohesiveness. NICE1 will be remaining in Fountain for the time being with the corps that are still around/choose to be around and we will get back to basics.

Best of luck to Malet in whatever venture he chooses with QUAM - there are no hard feelings despite some misunderstandings - there is respect (not sure whether it's mutual) - really appreciate everything you guys did and all the heartache that went into it.

Best of luck to Aneu in his new venture - I hope he comports himself better than he did recently.

It's just funny how people still let that guy into any corp or alliance. Whether or not any of this is true is irrelevant to me.

But even back in Euphrial Released, he was let in and then unceremoniously kicked out shortly thereafter. Considering Cartiff's corp is still in your alliance (or is it?)... one woulda thought there would be something against it.

Then again, even without first hand knowledge of Aneu, isn't enough known about him being a general PITA well known?

Especially c4w3 and Aneu showed us great respect in local and I am shocked that this would happend to PMS, since you seemed like such an mature and rock solid alliance.

When are people going to learn that you can never ever let Aneu near your alliance.

The man has played 5 years and the only time he had any clue whatsoever comparable to everyone else was around release and the first 3 months. From that point on he has been truely useless while ofcourse using words to big himself up. Just boot him and put any corp he joins red.
