Does anybody have info on the Federation Detention Facility site I scanned down?
Probed it out and attempted in a drake (fail). Tried again in CNR and still couldn't take the dps. I was faction tanked (1400dps) with Gallente specific resists and still barely got out.
There was no DED rating for this site and it was in 0.5 sec space.
Unfortunately google was not my friend and dnightmare exploration database is no longer to be found.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (fit info/possible loot etc...)

It relates to the Caldari Epic Arc. People not actually running the arc can enter that first room just like you did, run it like any normal exploration dungeon and get some Navy tags out of it.

Personally, I like incorporating exploration into these epics. I think it's one good way of pushing different groups of players together. Mission runners and explorers, in this instance. One problematic thing about "generic" missions is how they effectively isolate the mission-runner from other players and provide few avenues for social interaction. If you're wondering why sometimes epics send players to nullsec, lowsec, exploration sites...well, this is a big part of the reason why Smile

Don't worry, CCP. We here at Suddenly Ninjas™ are working hard to add social interaction to generic missions

Thanks. That's the funniest thing I've read all day. Laughing

Is nice that some people haven't lost their sense of humor.

And we love you (and others like you) for it! In some weird and wonderful way, groups like yours operate as flag bearers for the full EVE experience, and we wouldn't want to change, or get in the way of that.

Also, lol.

now if salvaging other's wrecks could just activate the aggression flag so those who PvP and pay for PvP with missioning could help bring the joy of PvP to the 'social interactionists'

This is a major reason I was drawn to this game in the first place. Players are encouraged to and lauded for adding new dimensions to the universe. In almost every other game, the developer line is "you aren't playing the game the way we originally designed it to be played. You will now be warned/banned and then we will alter the game to prevent creativity, yet again."

There are certain things I wish for in the game, but freedom to play it my way certainly isn't one of them. Keep it up, CCP.

We are fully aware of the joys of PvP'ing mission runners, but thank you for your concern.

Cheers, CCP Dropbear! Cool

Full CCP endorsement for TEARS - drinks and frontpage weblines all round me thinks! That should keep the forum fires fuelled for a few years...

They'll be paying you to head up their EVE advertisements next, not something I would wish for, like freedom to play the game my way. Rolling Eyesugh

I'm looking forward to the next EVE advert. So far we've had the mining career, the lowsec pirate career, the nullsec brawn career. Now we need the one with the guy in the nano-cheetah hunting down mission runners and salvaging wrecks from under the mission runners' noses.

That's not actually a freedom. It's a restriction on everyone else playing the game.

Right before you all start to shout that this is just another carebear spouting off a little education is required, we operate in ALL sectors off eve in both main and alts and have a good deal of fun all round, we also run an multi-gaming clan that runs 4 multiplayer game servers BF2:SF / AA3 / COD4 and Arma2, ok that’s the educational part for the non CCP`ers, so trust me when it come to PVP you are ALL noobs.

CCP Dropbear however needs some lessons as he is being a bit thick as to interaction between normal players who don’t have a frigging clue and the ninja`s , I am NOT anti-Ninja, I love popping them (we got the same prat twice last night… shame was I was 2 jumps out in “Suicide Sid” I wanted that pod SOOOO bad..would have made the magical 25 pods and that would have earned me a “Cookie” prize… I love Cookies…anyway I digress.
OK CCP drophear, MR`s are a problem that needs fixing are they, ok….lose all missions in highsec space then…god knows you lot nerf the living hell out of everything else, I mean how much more weapons nerfing are you thinking of, you now have the honour of being up there with EA for the stuff you get up to with f..ing the game up, T1 light drones that do more damage than medium, all drones at random orbiting structures but not able / willing to attack the damn things, T1 missiles cruise class doing almost twice the damage of T2s, tracking nerfs on Gallente ships (only slight but enough) I mean SERIOUSLY the way you lot are going pretty soon the ONLY way you will be able to kill ANYTHING is by removing the Collision avoidance code and allowing players to RAM the bloody ships ,, and now we have any 24hr character able to ninja, ok that’s not so bad, what is bad though is that as usual its nerfed again, why… well I will tell you MR`s may get up peeps noses, just as miners do…as pirates do (Yarr) in fact be honest unless they are in your corp the frigging lot can die cause they all stink, but the MR`s fit ships for PVE, now I know this may come as something of a shock to a CCP toon who gets all the best s**t that they develop , but ninjas go about their business in something called a PVP ship…see that end letter…that’s different is`nt it, want to know why, ok, its because one fit is against rats (that’s those red things in the missions in groups) the other is for PLAYERS , the 2 fittings are COMPLETELY different (for good reason) so ninjas have the HUGELY superior fit, they then LOOT, (notice that now its gone on to piracy) hoping to goad some poor sucker into firing knowing that that they can kill the PVE`r in secs, all perfectly legal, they (the MR`s) are worse off and weaker than a Miner, at least the miner only has to tank frigates, the MR has to tank again fleets of BS`s cruisers and frigs so again we have a NERF well done, hats off…prats

Part 2

Here is my idea for a BALANCED game, it will appease you CCP snothair,,
1/ ALL missions from level 2 to level 5 should be in low or 0.0 sec, type and level could be done by sec status of system, only npc corps for each race could dole out level 1`s in Empire. once they were done that would be it, the player / toon could then be moved by CCP to a random 0.0 sec somewhere in eve, this way they would at least have a chance against the more experienced toon, and it would truly open up Eve as the pirates / gangs and everyone else would have to travel to find anyone.

2/ there should be NO asteroids available to ANY toon in high sec...None...except for training missions again, that way all the pirate alts that dwell in Empire to fuel ship replacement / fittings will all of a sudden become prime targets themselves and be forced to guard their prime juicy Hulks (yum yum)

3/ there only needs to be 10 sectors for each race really in Empire, plus a jita type for trade, and it should only supply basic fittings needed to survive before shipping the toon out to fend for themselves

I guess really I am anti nerf here, and this IS another nerf (one of many), in fact f**k it, shut empire down completely, get into the other types of stuff like we run, if it moves kill it, then T-Bag it till it turns Blue (for the virgins out there a T-Bag is an action by your ingame avatar mimics the act of standing ..then crouching rapidly, another term would be bouncing your balls off your victims head rapidly and repeatedly…with a smile….)

If you read though all that lot you have my UTMOST congratulations and respect,
To CCP Dropdead this is not really aimed at you personally, but yours is the name above that drew it  . please please PLEASE get you dev`s teams heads into the correct gear, having one EA games (Excremental ********s) out there to mess things up is bad enough without you lot adding to it.

Umm, Diego, if you have read any of the the forums, Dev blogs etc. around here you would know that what you are suggesting would alienate a VERY large chunk of the player base. EVE lets people do their own thing and some people just want to relax, chat with friends and pop a asteroid or two without worrying about griefers blowing them up. Your suggestions would drive most of them away so your suggestions aren't likely to be put into practice anytime soon, if at all. Sorry.

If you had actually bothered to READ the post you mindless ninny... you would have seen that THAT is the actual reason for the responce from Diego Boom.

People trying to "chill out" and do their thing being scanned down by Ninja Salvagers. So next time.. BEFORE you get your little pink panties in a bunch, read the topic and SEE what the responce actually is before you point fingers :)

Umm I was referring to the part where he wants to all but get rid of hi sec. I knew what the topic was and I did read everything in both of Diego's posts. Oh and responce is spelled response with an S instead of a C btw.

Never a good idea to just completely crap on and insult the person you want to do something for you (such as get any of your ideas even remotely implemented). You won't get what you want. Ever. Unless you have the physical ability to make them, but that's a whole different legality in itself...

I haven't done that facility itself, but there used to be some indication in the wording as to what was needed, either a salvager, hacker, or analyzer.
