An Update on Transition of Sovereignty with Dominion

We recently discovered an issue that was reported in several sovereignty systems which affected strategic indexes. A fix for this will occur on Monday, December 7, 2009, during downtime. Due to this discovery, we will therefore extend the grace period, allowing Alliances to better prepare for the upcoming Sovereignty changes. What are those changes?

As mentioned in CCP Abathur's Blog, existing Sovereignty-dependent starbase structures such as Cynosural System Jammers, which rely on your sovereign solar system having a minimum strategic index level, are currently being allowed to remain online during the transition grace period. This will allow your Alliance time to install the infrastructure hub and necessary strategic upgrades so that these structures can remain online after the grace period passes.

We have decided to extend the grace period until downtime Tuesday December 15, 2009 in order to allow you to make sufficient preparations and changes to your infrastructure. After this time, if you do not meet the prerequisites for having the strategic starbase structures online, these will go offline and you will not be able to online them again until the prerequisites are met, similar to how a loss of sovereignty affected these starbase structures previously in Apocrypha.

Seeding of Sovereignty Blockade Units on the market

The Sovereignty Blockade Units, detailed in the previously linked blog, which make your solar system infrastructure vulnerable to attack, will be seeded onto the market during downtime on Tuesday December 8, 2009. The will be available from DED and CONCORD stations.
