Good fit, but might I suggest swapping out the medium parrot I for a ships monkey II ? Just in case of those "locked in a jail cell and the guard is asleep with his keys on the table" moments. That monkey has gotten me out of that situation too many times to count. |

If it were a pirate captain, maybe, you could go with the Monkey II, but I think the vanilla tech 1 is enough for a plain ol' pirate. You don't want any one item that costs more then your base, usually. |

I use a very similar fit to those above, however I've replace the 'Large Red Overcoat II' for a 'Rusty Cutlass II'. I've found that the 'Large Red Overcoat' greatly increases my visibility (making me a bigger target and restricts movement), whilst the 'Rusty Cutlass' is much lighter allowing me to move quicker, more freely and most importantly grants access to the 'Walk the plank' finishing move. |

Well as most pirate secrets are out now, I guess another won't hurt. Have you tried the RedRum Boosters? (so named, as it spells Murder backwards) - This booster numbs a pilot's sense of feeling in attacks, letting him fight anything that looks at him 'funny like'. The discomfort of having his head spinning piecemeal remains unaltered, but the pilot is filled with such a surge of rage, that he bullies all his ship mates and picks fights with old ladies.

I prefer Barbossas modified undead monkey, much better for those GTFO situations, it's little more costly though. Also this fit has no weapons, LOL. Also don't do what I did as a noob, I fitted 2 eye patches in highslots and couldnt fight very well after that |

Ok, look: while y'all are assuming the OP was looking for a solo pirate, we all know those days are long past and you need a crew these days. I prefer to run with a more ranged DPS fit, plus it leaves room for some of the "extras".
[Pirate, Ranged PvP]
Lows Slots
Dandy Top Boots II Howling Wench I (II won't fit at once)
Mid Slots
Puffy Linen Shirt II Brace of Pistols II
High Slots
Tricorn Hat II, Extreme Feather II modification Wicked Mustache II
Rig Slots:
Jug O' Rum I Overloaded Powder Charges I
---- Frankly I don't know why you guys are leaving out the wench. Once activated it provides a significant buffer and there's just no downside in a quick sc****. Sure, over time you're looking at a drain on your Coins, but whatever. By that time you're dead, right?
Also: why are you leaving a rig slot open?
Personally, though, I prefer to use the slightly more expensive Swashbuckler, as you get more mids to play with and can usually fit two weapons plus the puffy shirt.

Above are mostly throat cutter fits or slight variations thereof. They usually get the pillaging done, but I myself like to surprise other pirates with a less conventional dual hook fit:
[Pirate, Dual Hook]
Low slots
Iron Hook Hand II Iron Hook Hand II
Med slots
Puffy Linen Shirt II Large Red Overcoat II
High slots
Ouchmaster Cannon II, Angel Cartel Lead Cannonballs Stained Scimitar I (offline)
Rig Slots
Ship Monkey I Jug O' Rum I
As said before, the hooks take quite a bit of fitting space, so you can only fit one Ouchmaster and a heat sink mod. But other pirates usually keep more of a distance if they're threatened to lose an eye to a pair of Hook Hands (especially if they already have an Eye Patch fitted!).
The ship monkey can use the matches to fire the cannon for you if you have skilled Monkey Business to V, you have to invest at least a month for that. Worth it though! |

This is a good idea, but watch out for the terrible optimal of the Rusty Cutlass. Fit a grappling hook or something. Great damage when you get into range though. |
