Iron Wraith	Posted - 2006.01.05 13:02:00 - [6] hi all just seen the dev blog over lunch does anyone know if the agent info is based on what it is now, or what it will be on the 8th after the agents have moved? realy hoping its the new locations, not looking forward to finding a new system to run misison in. but if i can spend hours fiddling with code to find my new home i'll be much happier than spending hours fiddling with corp agent tabs

I ment no offense, sorry if it came out wrong :) I'm not going to sit here and explain exactly where it all is, it is a fairly big schema(And I havent made a sensibly formatted export for this latest feed yet), but I will say it all starts off with the main item type, which links via the Type ID to all the data you need. The two main files in the old feeds were "dgmAttributeTypes.csv" and "dgmTypeAttributes.csv". HTH, I'm still looking through the new feeds myself, but those should still be the right files.

I know its fairly easily fixed, but it's annoying that I have to edit and run scripts on all the data feeds before I can use them.

I haven't finished downloading the files yet to see how well formatted the CSV data is, but it is perfectly acceptable for some entries to be quoted strings and others to be unqouted. I suggest you upgrade your CSV parser http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4180.txt (I did find a simpler explanation when writing a parser once, but I guess that one will do)
Dowser	Posted - 2006.01.05 20:16:00 - [29] t20, two things. First, all description fields appear to be truncated at 255 characters in miscData. Second, can we get additional data for the ship bonuses. For example, Apocalypse has the shipBonusAB attribute with a value of -10. There is no way to programmatically correlate the value of shipBonusAB with the attribute it affects (in this case large energy turret capacitor use). A really hacky way would be to use the ship description, but the description is truncated.
Zydigo	Posted - 2006.01.05 22:25:00 - [30] Oh hell yes. I've been working on a script/webapp combo that uploads the exported market data csv files to a webapp which dumps them into a mysql db. If the station and system IDs match up between the two, I am set.
