Electronics 5 (I'll assume you have this already ;)) Signature Analysis 5 (faster lock time) Energy Management 4-5 (Max cap) Energy Systems Operation 4-5 (cap recharge) Engineering 5 (of course) Advanced Weapon Upgrades 3 (needed for a good fit) All skills for T2 medium guns (Pulse spec trained to 4 as well) 'Necessary' gunnery skills at 4 (Motion Prediction, Surgical Strike etc) Hull Upgrades 5 (T2 hardeners) Repair Systems 4-5 (repper time) Mechanic 5 (you'll have this anyway) Armor compensation skills at least to 3 Navigation, Evasive maneuvering, Afterburner and High speed Maneuvering to 4 Heavy Assault Ships 4 (damage) Should do you reasonably well to start with. Sorry for the falling apart of my post towards the end, usually happens with mine |

I'm still kind of consfused as to why anyone would use the zealot over the sacrilege. Sure, it's a lot better looking, but if you take into consideration the AUTOMATIC bonuses to armor resistance, the DPS gain from the two extra high slots (I would use assault launchers there), and the RIDICULOUS price difference (200+mil for the zealot, around 90mil for the sacrilege). How can you go wrong with the sacrilege? |

1. Not many amarri are skilled high in missiles afaik, this is one reason, the two extra high slots arent worth anything if you cant fill them effectivly. 2. The resistance bonus is negated by the two extra low slots the zealot has. If you were going to compare pure resistance bonuses, if your sacrilege is running one slot for armor resistance bonuses, the zealot can run three typed and come out ahead. If your zealot is running 0 slots on resistance then your zealot can run two EANII's and come out ahead. The zealot can also use these slots for other purposes 3. The RoF bonus for the zealot is a big addition, the 4 guns on the zealot perform like five on a sacrilege[which can only fit 4]. If the sacrilege fits 4 + an assault launcher, the assault launcher has to compete with the laser bonus damage on the zealot. As well, the zealot can mount more damage increasing mods in his low slots due to having two extra. If he is very skilled in compensation one EAN II makes up the difference between him and the sacriledge, giving him an extra low slot to play around with. With only a moderately skilled in compensation, the zealot doesnt suffer much of a resistance penalty, but still gains that extra low slot. 4. You will probably want to mount a NOS in at least one of the sacrileges high slots. If not, it is possible that the sacriledge outdamages the zealot if you are highly skilled in missiles and the zealot doesnt fit for damage. The real bonus for the sacrilege is the extra mid-slot, but overall, the zealot is just plain better, it hits harder and is nearly as tough. Unless you are mid-slot starved, or very skilled, the zealot give you more bang, though not nessesarily for your buck. |

QFT. The zealot simply outperforms the sac in just about every way. The sac is supposed to be more versatile..ie, stuff other then damage, but its extra med slot, missle points, and very small drone bay do not add enough to make up for lack of damage. Sac should be missile boat, plain and simply...missile bonuses and all. Adding a a turret bonus to a maller, then subtracting a turret hard point, does not a good HAC make, |

Zealot is a good bit faster than the sac too. Helps to close on targets faster. |

One little tip...if you are in a zealot, and a curse warps in....run. do not engage I was in a curse...warped in on a zealot, and he engaged me. I LOLed, then pwned him hard. the zealot is the curses ideal target. |

QFT! your zealot + his NOS = your loss + his victory NOS is the death of the zealot, as with many ships, but especially the zealot. |

curse is cheaper, effective in more situations, and viable against more targets, in group or solo. you do the math. poor zealot |

Don't forget to train up all the little skills that reduce cap usage on AB, Webber, Tracking Comps, etc. Every little bit helps as the RoF bonus as much as it dished out the pain drains your cap that much faster.
Adv Wpn Upgrades IV Controlled Burst V are big winners imo for the big Z plus it's the 2nd fastest HAC.
Basically all skills to at least 4 that are mods fitted on your HAC, V's being prereqs.
As for the Sac vs. the Zeal, I did a lvl 4 mission in both and the Zealot just shredded it that much faster, I almost outperformed my Geddon. Sadly the price relfects the optimal perforamce output of the two though I still fly both but for different engagements. |
