How to search for an item in contracts
Select your range for contracts, station, system, region, different region (enter the one you want), issued to me, my corp, my alliance.
Select a type of contract you want to see (default is all)
If desired enter a price range or click only affordable. Linkage
Now Click the show more options arrow if your looking for something specific. Linkage
Filter by who issued it, did not issue it, the title, and most importantly the item!
Enter in the item your looking for, if you don't know the full name you can pick it from the list that is close to what you have typed. Linkage
Once you have selected the item your looking for the results will be returned for the range your looking. Linkage

Auctions are only available for items starting at 1mil isk and up.
Loans and Freeform are only available for corp or alliance (no public)

Item trades can be for as long as 2 weeks

Why are loans only open to corpmates or alliances?? Heck I should think that loans in particular would be better to be fully accessible than to be kept within people you know. Does a bank necessarily discriminate between members and non-members? No its open to everyone! So why are loans so restrictive??

Loans must be between players(i.e. private), corps, or alliances. Therefore they can not be public. Or else we would have a hoard of please loan me 65bil isk contracts.

Then the loanshark keeps your collateral. If the loanshark didn't put any collateral, then you're off scot free...

With regard to Freeform contracts, is the payment subject to the approval of the contract creator to determine whether the other party fulfilled their end of the contract? Or is it automatic? Either way, I can see possiblities for abuse, there.

Which is why freeform is only available to corp and alliance, people you're supposed to be able to trust more. Very Happy

This and all the other guides that were previously stickied in this forum (plus a few good ones from some of the other channels) are now found in the Ultimate New Player Guide Collection. This change was made by the forum mods to reduce the number of skickies in this forum.

120k m3 is the size of a Frieght Container. Those can only be carried in Freighters. Even with perfect skills there is no ship that can carry a million m3. Such a courier mission would be impossible to complete. 120k m3 is a significant improvement over the previous 20k m3 limit of courier missions. If you need to move such large volumes you can use multiple courier contracts or use a pair of item exchange contracts.

Just like before, you limit the contract to them by name on the first page of the contract create wizard.

I am not able to log in to the game right now, but when I get home from work I have to transfer some goods between my characters using contracts, so I will let you know what I find out.

Contract Scammer Warning!

There are a lot of deceptive sales contracts out there right now. Mostly, these will offer a description of some raw material and a quantity, for many millions of ISK. Be aware that the description in the 'ad' for a contract, and the description line in the contract itself, say whatever the contract creator wants them to say, they're NOT guaranteed to match what the contract is actually selling!

To determine what a contract is really offering to sell you, use the 'read contract' option, and go down to the very bottom of the contract.

There, you will see a real, guaranteed entry of what you get if you buy the contract.

It is in the form of 'icon of item', item name, and, IF it is selling more than one, 'x quantity'. If 'x quantity' is not present, it's selling ONE.

So, for Nocxium, for instance, if you see "[Icon of Nocxium] Nocxium x 15000", you will recieve 15000 Nocxium. If you see "[Icon of Nocxium] Nocxium", you will get ONE Nocxium, and that's all.

Remember, the 'description' line up above in the contract is whatever the contract creator types, so it can say anything. They can, and do, type 'Nocxium x 15000' there, and still be selling only ONE.

Caveat Emptor. Never, never EVER buy a contract without reading and checking the actual contract text this way!

Okay, I think I figured out why everyone seems to be having problems using this. (I hope) When I created a private contract for my alt it was not searchable in the public contract section: IE by selecting the region/system where the contract was created. What I needed to do was select "Me" under that "View" pop down, then it listed the available contracts private contracts to me, regardless of their location. See if that helps in working your contracts.

What happens if you set up a loan of just money?

Is it possible (can't play the game atm) and what happens at the end of the contract, as setting up collateral with a money loan isn't doable (people would have to hand in money to get (more) money)?

It'd be nice eventually for a collateral+cash loan system, where someone can, for example, pledge a 200M ship as collateral to borrow 100M ISK from someone. At deadline, the 100M + whatever interest or fee is paid back, or the ship is released from escrow and giver to the lender.

It's my understanding that you -can't- remove your past contracts - they're public information. Not important for stuff you bought/sold, really, but it's virtually the entire point of doing a "freeform" contract.

This feature is pretty vital for Courier contracts. Gives you an idea if the poster of the contracts is a good judge of risk/reward. Without it, scam artists would make a mint.

What I want to know is : If I setup a Want to buy contract, can people fill the contract from item all over the region or do the item need to be at the station ?

Edit : And can people fill buy orders from other regions as well, if my order is in another region than where they are but they still have the modules required in same region/station.
