Hi everyone!

With Revelations came the new profession salvaging.
Some look at salvaging as a waste of time, others see it as an opportunity to make some bucks and make some rigs.

This tool will help people keep track of what they can expect from a mission, complex, a player ship or even a NPC rat (given that people have reported the data).

Main features:

  1. Mission/complex/ship wrecks reports showing which materials you might expect

  2. User contributed data using the IGB makes it easy to update and keep up-to-date without having to wait for me to enter data :D

  3. Historic data is kept so you can see the compositions of the average data.

  4. Quick-reference for the salvaged materials, rigs and rig blueprints.

  5. T1 Rig Builder - See what you can build with your salvage materials

For this database to be working, I need help from you! (/me points finger)
I will of course enter salvaging reports myself, but the more people which enter data, the more precise the reports will be.
If an entry has 10 reports, it will be more reliable than an entry which only has 1 report.

Please use the official name when entering name into the report.
Do not enter prefixes like mission level or suffixes like rat faction.
This will make it less confusing to everyone.
For missions, use the journal to see the mission log or if you've finished the mission, you can use your character sheet.
Open up "standings" and "liked by" tab, locate the corporation you just did the mission for. Right click and "show transactions".
There you'll find the mission name.

Enough chatter for now, time to check it out for yourself.
Open your EVE IGB and paste in this url: http://eve.podzone.net/wsdb/
You can also browse it out of game if you want to, but in order to submit data, you'll need to register a password using the EVE IGB: http://eve.podzone.net/wsdb/

If you want to talk with other people about salvaging or the WSDB, please join the ingame channel "WSDB".

All that remains to say is: Welcome to the EVE WSDB :D

Best regards,
- Max

Oh.. and did I mention how important it is to use the OFFICIAL MISSION NAME when submitting reports?

Nice to see some replies at last :)

If you want to test it, please enter valid mission data.
I will keep that info after wednesday.
Don't care about the salvaged materials info though.

Could you make it so you can toggle it to display between missions with/without salvage and all missions? I understand they'll be revamping the salvage wednesday, and hopefully there'll be a chance of salvage from every wreck, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are still some missions that don't give any salvage.

Additionally, could you setup a table for Player shipwrecks? So far mostly I've gotten metal scraps from PC ships, but it would be interesting to see what can be acquired from other ships.

Thanks, and excellent job!

Thanks for your suggestions, and as you can see, I've implemented them already.

On a side note, I've updated the first post pending tomorrow's patch.
WSDB has now gone live, so no more test-data.

PS. I would love to know what kind of salvage materials you can get from a titan. Any BOB members who can enlighten me or is it still left unsalvaged? Razz

Cheers for submitting everyone.
Please use the official mission name when submitting.
Makes it a lot easier to maintain.

What does A/C stand for anyways?
[L2] Unauthorized Military Presence A/C (The Blood Raider Covenant)

Gonna take away the A/C from the title unless someone has an objection... no? good :)

I got A/C after one of my mission names too, its actually in the title the agent gives you so.... I'd leave it in, though I don't know what it means.

Also is there a way to edit a entry? I entered The Score L3 w/ 42 items but was ******ed and didn't realize there was a second section so its missing alot, id go ahead and delete it so it doesnt skew your data in thes tartup phase.

Everyone input stuff, this thing is pretty cool!

There's no interface for users to edit their entries. Hopefully there wont be a need for one either.
At the moment, I'm editing wrong entries through the sql-interface.
I deleted your entry from the database. You can readd it if you want now.

I'm having troubles getting the my IGB to display the input salvage report form. It won't even display the results from other salvage reports, either.
Might be an issue on my end, but I just want to know if anyone else has the same problem.

I can view the results in Firefox though, which helps...but I would love to submit my own data and help out in this project.

Aye, the A/C was part of the name. No clue what it means, but figured I'd put everything in exactly as it appears for the sake of accuracy.

Also more L2s incoming, probably several w/ no loot (we'll see).

Additional suggestion: a "Yes this mission really had 0 salvage" button that defaults to unchecked and prevents a mission from being entered w/out salavage info entered. I'd hate to skip a mission because I looked on the DB and it said there was no guys. Or to accidently submit too soon when there was really salvage.

Yesterday I got 4 different types of (T!) circuit boards from 'The Assault' (L4).

I never got more than two types from a mission against a single type of opponent before. The collected data might be outdated by now.

Try adding "http://eve.podzone.net/" without the " to your trusted sites manually.

Hope this helps.

Can we get confirmation that it really IS a level 1 Blockade mission vs Sanshas Nation that gave 150 component drops? Considering that the Serpentis version dropped only 7 for me (as reported) it seems a bit much....

Freeken sweet! I just started salvageing yesterday. Gona run a bunch of missions today and start putting the data in the site.

Sugestion: Add a section for belt rats and what they drop so people know where to go ratting if they just need those last few parts for a shiny new rig.

Thanks for the sweet took,

Very nice, I intend to be adding my mission data here.

Features I would like to see:
Sort by each salvage material so that it shows the top entries with the highest average salvage of that type.

Option to show missions against a particular target type. (eg blood raiders).

I don't think the 150 salvage drop is really reliable.. guess someone was pretty wasted when they entered that data, lol.
Chances are that it's a lvl 4 or 3 at least.

You know that you can actually add rat spawns in the system as it is now.
Just choose the ship class, f.ex. Battleship and add the name of the specific rat, and select which faction that rat belongs too.

Top entries for a salvage material sounds like a good idea.
If you check out my TODO list, you'll see that I've already added the "- Statistics for enemy/faction drops".

EDIT. Can you change my entry for Downing the Slavers LVL 3
and add PART 2 at he end Thanks

Can you also delete the Portal to War Part 2 that has no 0 salvage I forgot about the 2nd room. When I went back and salvaged all the Imperial Cruisers to my suprise I recieved salvage!!! Only boards, and also Metal Scraps (12), which I forgot to enter into the database entry [20061215-1047].
