Back in May I purchased two Fanfest passes, one for me and one for my wife. Now that you have announced the Sisters of Eve program at the same price, I would like to know if I can trade her Fanfest pass for the Sisters of Eve pass. |

The Fanfest Access Pass for Sisters of EVE Access Pass Exchange ProgramSince some of you may have purchased a Fanfest Access Pass before Sisters of EVE was announced you may wish to exchange the Fanfest Access Pass for a Sisters of EVE Access Pass, and now that is possible! All you need to do is to email me your name, the name of your spouse and the order number and we will take care of it. My email is wrangler@ccpgames.com. Please keep in mind that the one Sisters of EVE Access Pass per EVE Fanfest Access Pass rule still applies, you cannot purchase one EVE Fanfest Access Pass and more than one Sisters of EVE Access Pass. |

Hmm. Is it true that all tickets for the FF are sold out?
I was going to go 3 months ago, then RL got in the way, and now it seems RL is sorted enough for me to consider going again.
Completely sold out already? |

Hmm. It was implied in a recent conversation. When I checked the Eve-Store, I couldn't find the tickets. I probably missed it due to the fact I had presumed them not to be there in the first place. Thanks Wrangler. :) Buy you a beer if I end up going. ^_^ |

I think you need to go through the Fanfest pages to get to the tickets, but anyway, to make it easier: EVE Fanfest 2007 Access Passes. |

Edited by: Succurso on 28/09/2007 10:19:09 Hi there,
I purchased two tickets for the fanfest when they initially came out.
However due to real life issues I am now unable to attend. On a plus note however a friend is going and is willing to take my tickets.
Do I need to transfer them over to his name? Or is it ok just to give him the code I was issued when I bought the tickets and he can pick them up on the day?

I seem to have lost the confirmation email with my access pass number etc in it. I've looked for some way to recover this or request a new mail to be sent, but I was unable to find anything. Anyone know anyway to recover these details, or know who in CCP I can email about this? I couldn't find any contact details on the Fan Fest page. Thanks. |

Wrangler, I have my ticket and I want to book the Icelandair package from London. However, the only option is to travel on the Thursday morning (after fanfest starts) and return on the saturday evening (while the drunken antics are still going on). What gives? I want to go Wednesday - Sunday, but the only option is book it all separately and pay much more in the process. Can someone take a look at this. |

I believe the flight was sold out, but I've actually already sent an email about this. You have to understand that this is more a partnership with Icelandair than us telling them what to do, so we can't guarantee anything. But hopefully something will be added, though maybe it would mean extra days in Iceland or something. The only other suggestion I really have would be to book a Fanfest package from maybe Copenhagen or something and then just fly over there? It means extra flight time of course, going through check in and security an extra time etc. but the good thing about London is that they tend to have really cheap flights to some places, so if we can't get anything for the UK package you should compare prices. Something that may be even easier would be to select a flight from Manchester, I believe they have packages left, even though it might require a train ride. |

argh! what is it about banks and their inability to actually be useful.
Are Euro's acceptable in Iceland? "Dont know" Would there be a conversion fee were I getting another currency converted? "Dont know" If I had travelers cheques in Euros, could they be cashed for Krona? "Dont know" Will *your* travelers cheques be cashable in Iceland? "Dont know" Would it be sensible to get some Krona in cash before I leave? "Dont know" Can you give me cash in Krona? "Probably not"
I should probably just email Iceland Air. THey must know what services are available at the airport... but with so much frustration I had to ***** somewhere :)
Anyhow, looking forward to the trip - I'm sure that with the modern marvels of internet banking, all will be fine. Any other New Zealanders who might be going (I saw there was one posting earlier), let me know if there are any smart things I can do to minimise my fee's and conversions.
Why cant overseas travel be stress-free?

The currency is ISK, and there are ATM's at the airport, I know they take visa and mastercard at least. I'm not sure if they take euros though, some places might but if you're taking euro I suggest you exchange it at a bank or something. |

Edited by: Ashraaf on 01/10/2007 13:56:56 Last year they don't accept euro for the flybus but they accept visa card you can change some money at the airport, or directly go to a automate? (word? ) and get money with you credit card for all money you can use your credit card. Taxi and almost everywhere use it

aah thanks for the replies. Google already answered all my questions for me - i was really just complaining that the banks 'foreign currency person' seemed unable to be helpful to me (indeed they didnt even know what currency was used in Iceland - I had to tell them).
But its all good - the main thing was whether Euro could be exchanged at the airport for Krona. The bank recommended I get my travelers cheques in pounds or USD, but that incurs currency conversion fees for all the times I am in Europe!
It seems credit card is a good option with low fees for use overseas, so I might rely heavily on it for the Iceland portion of my holiday. Luckily I got the early-bird package and my flights/accomodation are already paid for :)
