Good work CCP in letting everyone know the account was banned for the investigation, then reinstated. I didn't realize that was procedure, but it helps clear things up :)

IIRC, if you even transfer a large amount of isk between two characters that you own it gets flagged and looked into. Pretty good policy, I think. _________________________________________ |

When we had our assets in ISSN stolen when the corp was still quite young, it was ransomed back to us for two-thirds of market price. We accepted and paid, of course, because it was so much easier and cheaper than re-stocking. |

Damn, that's really sad. Corp theft is a poor thing to do, especially in a communist corp, but I suppose the longer you go on, and the higher the stakes are, the more inevitable it becomes.
I hope nobody thinks this is okay just because it's BoB, even if you are enemies in game. |

From what I recall, BoB keeps most of their assets in NPC stations since systems like NOL have NPC refinery/factory combo stations right next door, and there's no chance they can be locked out of a station if one were ever taken. I'm sure they're thrilled with this decision. |

Str0be, claiming to be Flatliner's alt who ws banned during the investigation, said he stole a ton of stuff, like hundreds of billions worth. It's at least confirmed that SOME kind of theft took place, and given that CCP doesn't generally temp ban people just to investigate an act of petty corp thievery, it's a good bet this was a big one. Of course, this is all speculation. |

300 billion for evol is probably like someone stealing a few bil from a normal one. Unlike the STK theft, this doesn't look like he got the income source aka bpo's, so in the long run its not that bad a hurt, despite the scale. |

Wrong. If someone reports an account as hacked, CCP bans first and then investigates to prevent further damage. Wrangler and Kieron even said the account was suspended because of the massive scale of the theft, so it wasn't just another "petty theft" Originally by: Graalum
