4 missile spamming Caracals or drone swarming Vexors/arbys. It will simply be a race to see who can out gank who faster with 4x identical setups of the same ship.

Nearly any non-named t1 or t2 module. If there is a blueprint for it, you should be able to use it. No Damps allowed.  You will start at medium range. discuss. |

Please give us a complete set of rules so we can discuss/comment on them.
Teams of four sounds a little much... is there a big enough turnout at FF to support enough teams for this?
What are the prizes?
How many teams are you expecting?
What is the tournament format?
Will the tournament interfere with other FF events?
Are you sure you want to limit it to T1 cruisers only? If you do be prepared to see only 2 or 3 different set-ups fielded with any success.

Pitch X number of teams (x preferably 4 or higher) into the same grid that has X-1 number of beacons (teams warp into a beacon of their choice at the start of the match). Allow the teams to warp/fly between beacons as they choose. Then as teams start dying and/or time progresses, remove a beacon so that in the end there will be two teams and one beacon remaining. At no time can a player be more than Y km away from any beacon. This should prove for quick group elimination and progression. 64 teams lined up in 16 groups where two teams progress from each group. Then 32 teams in 8 groups with two team progression. Finally into the harsh elimination, 16 teams in 4 groups one team progresses and then the finals with one team ending as the winner. Allow all t1 and t2 modules (barring officer/faction/cosmos like usual)... here you "have" to warp scramble and everything :) A simple slug em out like usual is getting pretty tired btw and is only a caracal, vexor/arbitrator, thorax and blackbird sightseeing event with the odd, oh look... whats this guy flying? anyway, just an idea to throw into the mix |

So does this include cosmos items which have blueprints and alsofaction cruisers have blueprints so can we use those aswell? :P Also will we be able to do what was done for the alliance tourny and get matching boosts on SISI so we can practice for this PvP contest? Oh and before you say the faction ships don't have BPO's just spawn yourself a "Nightmare Blueprint" and check the runs :P |

The idea of allowing warping around between beacons sounds excellent, but it makes it that much harder to keep track of what is going on. We have a limited number of computers, and more importantly personel, so warping will, yet again, not be allowed.
The more complete rule set will be coming very soon (hopefully by monday 1.oct) Its still under some discussion here as well. |

Just as an idea and it'll probably get flamed to hell but i'm gonna say it anyway, you might want to restrict certain pirate implants from this competition and by that i'm referring more to the snake set of implants, seeing as we'll be using super chars most likely on SISI with access to every one of SISI's standard 100isk markets the snake sets could become a standard, now while yes it is fun to have a stabber doing 8km/s it doesn't really make for a fun event if everyone under the sun goes nano and all we get is people zooming around at 8km/s doing very little actual PvP. Just my 2 isk *dons flame proof suit* |

The sign-up page (and the rules) have been sent to the webcell guys. I'm expecting it very soon now...
One change that I am playing with is the idea that since this is not really "televised", we're going to do away with the pause at the beginning of the battle, and just "warp in start shooting".
Only challenge would be to ensure the range is within limits... |

Also, You stated any T1 Cruiser, including faction... does that include the Guardian-Vexor?

This is NOT being held on TQ. We will be using a completely separate server that will only be accessible on-site (not TQ, not Sisi). So everyone who signs up will be given an account/character on that server with maxed out skills. This also means that if you are not at the fanfest, you cannot participate.
This results in having no implants for the tournament. Also podding makes no difference to your TQ character.
(Probably won't supply implants for the tournament, so don't count on them for setups)
All ships and modules will be supplied (including faction ships). You will all be in the same corp, and will have access to ships and modules from the corp hangar ingame. The organisers on site should be able to spawn anything you cant find in the hangar (as long as allowed by the rules)
This tournament is supposed to be a contest of players - knowledge of how to setup ships and get the most out of modules is part of this. Everyone is on the same playing field in this contest to eliminate as many factors as possible. You will all be on identically setup machines on the same connection as well.
Basically this is as "fair/equal" a contest as we can come up with.
