Hi,

tonight the 20th of October 2007 during the early hours of the morning ineve.net reached and surpassed 50000 characters (50049 as I type this post).
For me this is a big achievement for a site that started out as a corp tool to help new members and members that didn't know what to train and this was years ago, it then grew to a public site, and due to its success grew into its own thing as ineve project.
The site has grown and grown, a lot of technical obstacles have been surpassed over it's life and that brings us to were we are now.
So many things have happen over the years, too many to describe here, most of it has been recorded in post on the Skills section of E-O forum.

My thank you goes out to everyone that over the years supported me, my friends, my corp, the EVEMon crew, the #eve-dev crew, and all the people who love my site and it's they who made it what it is today.
I hope to continue to give everyone what they want and need to make EVE the best gaming experience out there.



Current Stats:

Characters: 50039
Account registered: 12409
Last 24h uniques updates/new: 7620 characters where updated or uploaded for the first time
Last 24 total skill updates: 40826
Characters Using the EVE API: 524 (1.047%)

The sum of skills from all the characters: 4,937,963 skills
The sum of all the skill points of all the characters: 619,823,376,847 skillpoints

Number of blog entries written: 125
Number of blog comments written: 44

On September 2007 97,183 unique IPs visited ineve, generating 80GB traffic, 8,558,444 site hits.
This month we're now up to 70,863 unique IPs, 54GB traffic, 5,969,894 site hits.

With everything (images, pages, caches, xmls in queue etc) the site is 3.2GB
inEVE Database Size: 1.4GB
The Database Server is doing on average 791 queries per second.

Due to the site not being built from ground up to be what it is, it suffers from a lot of design flaws for the visits it has, I have started a design contest and will build it from ground up the right way.

Why so many hamsters if the site is going to be faster? Because it's going to support many more features and sections. Smiley

To finalize I would like to say I'm terrible at BIG posts, I have so much to say and it always seems to be that only a few words get said Sad I hope I was able to transmit the excitement on my part for this milestone, and my promise for more and more, and better not to disappoint everyone.
