I agree that post doesn't make any sense. Kieron could you confirm what you posted? It's almost 100% opposite to everything that's been said about the upgrades so far.
Trinity 2 (the graphics engine) was supposed to be one update with many others that are included in Rev3. Other stuff in Rev3 being T2 battleships, new mission content, carrier changes etc etc.
According to to the blogs factional warfare was delayed and not going to be part of the Rev expansions at all, something we'll see next year in a different expansion altogether.
Now you're saying that all we're gonna get is the graphics upgrade and everything else in Rev3 is delayed 6 months or something? It was all (except factional warfare) supposed to come out in November.
Clarify please. |

I don't think he was saying you are not getting the new ships in the near future, it's just that the factional warfare portion will be next summer. |

Exactly! Trinity is revelations 2.5... 2-3 expansion packs in 1 year is quite enough, if anything above and beyond the call of duty, i take my hat off to you. (Not sure how many ex-packs since i only started replaying eve 6 months ago.) |

It's the first time in a long while that the Rev3 upgrade has been associated in any way with Factional warfare. It started that way, but definitely changed. Rev3 has been introduced as the expansion that will deliver Trinity 2 and the new content and balance changes etc, not Factional warfare.
This is a total 180 as Rev3 wasn't supposed to have anything to do with Factional warfare anymore. That's another expansion, not Rev3. But it's pointless to go over it any further, the developers know better. And they need to make it crystal clear this time, it's getting very confusing. |

So, we'll have update 2.3 on november 6th, an other update called 2.4 on november 20th to have last compatibility and somewhere around christmas we'll get trinity...
will we get some nice christmas presents this year? I was hoping for new snowball launchers...

People patch due by the end of year is the graphics update with new ships..
Rev 3 is next big step as in factonal warfare.

Gah, all you people need to take chill pills, there is no new information here, this is in line with what we already knew.
1. The upcoming major patch before the end of this year is named Eve: Trinity, and has all the goodies we're currently drooling over like new T2 ships, new graphics etc.
2. Faction warfare is slated for Revelations 3 next year, as it has been ever since it slipped from Revelations 2.
The only confusion here is that when they created the name "Trinity" they weren't specifying a new branch and Revelations is still active, so we get Rev I -> Rev II -> Rev II/Trinity -> Rev III/Trinity. |

All the stuff like new T2 ships, Kill Mails 1.5, UI revamp etc. should be deployed in EVE: Trinity, this year. Rev3 is probably the next big patch with factional warfare, but it seems like the title for this patch isnīt set in stone yet. this expansion was renamed to trinity a while back... and the engine is called Trinity v2.
all stuff (except carrier nerf, they need more time on that one) that is commony asociated with rev3 is in trinity. |

I don't understand you people, Kieron is saying exactly the same thing he has for at least a month. Trinity is the expansion coming soon with the graphics upgrade, black ops, heavy dictors etc.
Rev III is the faction warfare expansion that have been delayed a until later.

I'm glad if it's just a misunderstanding regarding the names of different updates. That's a very minor issue obviously. :)
The post by explorer clarifies a lot, missed that before for some reason. So it was basically just a misunderstanding with the names. That basically means there might not be Rev3 at all, the expansion with factional warfare might be something else entirely, as I understood from the beginning. Moving on.. |

Trinity v2 is the new engine in Trinity, which is coming out in either November or December. No one has claimed that it will not be released in November (and thus delayed a month), but it's obviously 50/50 at this point. Patch (Trinity) coming out this year will have all the new ships, drone changes, and everything else. Not the carrier nerf tho, enough people complained about something that really needed to be changed anyway  I don't understand why everyone was so confused, this has all been said before.  |
