This week has witnessed a savage attack upon sovereign Amarr territory by the barbarians who name themselves the Defiants. The 7th Fleet is on full alert, our scouts are hunting down these Defiants and my fleet is spread throughout the region ready to crush them. We have already scored several victories against the savages but they have managed to take down our CDC which has rendered our automatic defense systems somewhat vulnerable. While the 7th Fleet is in operation against the defiant force and is assured of victory, the deployment ensures that we do not have adequate resources to defend the defense stations against the attacks they are now suffering from Capsuleers.

Therefore Admiral Saracen has authorized me to call upon loyal Amarrian corporations to enlist as auxiliaries in our fleet and combat these encroachments while we concentrate on the main Defiant threat and crushing it once and for all.

We shall not make the mistake of underestimating the enemy, even though they shall be renegade Minmatar terrorists. Loyalists wishing to assist the fleet in combating this threat and protecting the bleak lands will send a standard EVE Mail to me outlining their abilities and corporate history. After a thorough background check I shall be in contact.

In parting, I shall relay to you a pertinent piece of scripture that the 7th Fleet holds close to its heart.
Quote:
Those who embrace the Lord
And walk in light
Shall be saved by His grace
For we are the shepherds in the dark
His Angels of Mercy

Those who turn away from the light
And walk in darkness
Shall be stuck down by His wrath
For we are retribution incarnate
His Angels of Vengeance

It brings a smile to my face to see the mighty Amarrian Navy cry out for help in facing a mere handful of Matari heroes -- reduced to begging aid from slave-raiders to save their miserable hides.

Your god is dead; you stand alone against those you've brutalized for so many centuries. Can you feel the threads of your fate being woven into the tapestry of history?

It is most refreshing to see True Ammarians kneel before a Ni-Kunni. The Empire has become quite decadent since it lost it's Emperor.

I look forward to sending you to meet your god and bringing freedom to those held in the death camps of the Bleak Lands. Any who decide to follow the Saracen slavers into battle will be marked for death.

The basic facts of the situation seem quite simple. The Defiants are attacking targets in civilized space in blatant disregard of the law, which clearly cements their nature as a criminal organization. And that is all there needs to be said about it. That alone gives the 7th Fleet all the legitimacy they need to hunt and subdue these renegades, and recruit capsuleers to help them.

That they choose to go further than that in their rhetoric is both unnecessary and regrettable. They choose to play upon notions of racial superiority, planetary nostalgia and religious fairytale. This approach threatens to turn the focus of the conflict from being a simple matter of law versus crime into becoming a matter of mutual racism.

Capsuleers who choose to involve themselves in this conflict on either side should reflect upon their reasons for doing so, and the possible consequences. Will your actions really further the cause of law, order, peace and stability - or alternately, liberty and freedom from oppression - or are you really fueling a more sinister development towards a new dark age of provincial enclosurism, racial hatred and cultural incest?

We would like to urge all people who share our home of civilized space to step back from conflicts driven by such rhetorics as these. The disease of "racial identity" must be cured as soon as possible. To forge lasting peace in civilized space, we need to sacrifice the past on the altar of the future.

Amarrian public relations folly edited to expose the truth behind the words:

This week has witnessed a savage attack upon sovereign Amarr territory by the barbarians freedom fighters who name themselves the Defiants. The 7th Fleet is on full alert scrambling to get our socks on with demonic delusion, our scouts are hunting down these Defiants and my fleet is spread thin (for dubious political reasons, hence this request) throughout the region ready to crush them hoping there won't be an engagement any time soon, lest we have to actually do something for our ridiculous salaries. We have already scored several victories against the savages (we're surprised someone could possibly out-wit our battle doctrine that we've resorted to calling them savages to assuage our wine-bloated egos) but they have managed to take down our CDC which has rendered our automatic defense systems somewhat completely (understatements work wonders in fooling the masses) vulnerable. While the 7th Fleet is in operation against the defiant force and is assured (extra bravado is always good, despite what our better judgment might be) of victory, the deployment ensures that we do not have adequate resources (I had to put some truth in here somewhere, even if the Admiral will have my hide for it) to defend the defense stations against the attacks they are now suffering from Capsuleers.

Therefore Admiral Saracen has authorized ordered me to call upon loyal Amarrian corporations to enlist as auxiliaries in our fleet and combat these encroachments morally justified assaults on territories we conquered and ravaged a while back while we concentrate on the main Defiant threat and crushing it once and for all.

We shall not make the mistake of underestimating the enemy, (It's too late for this one, but what the heck! The Admiral will be proud. Value add!) even though they shall be renegade Minmatar terrorists. Loyalists wishing to assist the fleet in combating this threat lick the admiral's boots for kickbacks in the future, and first pick on prisoner-slaves and protecting the bleak lands will send a standard EVE Mail to me outlining their abilities and corporate history. After a thorough background check DNA analysis (sorry Garreck, but those cases of Sarum Brandy won't be enough) I shall be in contact.

In parting, I shall relay to you a pertinent randomized piece of scripture ancient theo-babble that the 7th Fleet holds close to its heart uses every now and again to boost the morale of our brain-washed troops.

Interesting notions Natalcya but they sound rather naive. We do not fight out of hatred, we fight to free our people and to rebuild our culture. The Bleak Lands are an almost lawless area of the Empire used to house forced labour camps and forced breeding facilities where tens of thousands of Matari are held as slaves.

If you or others like you can persuade the Amarr Empire to release our people and leave us alone then we will cease our retaliation. I doubt you can though, they believe they are ordained by their god to enslave the universe.

Like all true Matari I will not choose to live as a slave. As husband & father, as a Shaman and as a Matari warrior I cannot leave my kinsmen not so fortunate to rot in those cells.

You speak of consequences, I see two. Either we will free our people or we will die as free men fighting to free our people.

I for one have no qualms about taking orders from a Ni-Kunni where that individual has achieved his rank through merit.

Golan Trevize and Hardin are two examples of Ni-Kunnis who have proven time and time again to be worthy leaders. Leaders who have struck fear into the heats of Minmatar rebels everywhere. My esteemed colleague Archbishop has also shown himself to have rare gifts.

That's the thing about the Empire. If you work hard, then even if you're the lowliest slave your descendants may just rise to a position of authority. This is different to the Republic and other primitive Minmatar societies where one's station in life is determined by a tattoo-based lottery.

The Voluval reveals the inner self from the bloodsong. It is the true indicator of our character, our spirit and our destiny as individuals. Rather than stumble through life blindly trusting in dusty old scriptures or words attributed to some imaginary god we are given the gift of knowing ourselves, truly and completely. Only then can we live up to our destiny.

In Amarrian 'culture' if you are lucky enough to survive the raids, if you are lucky enough to been deemed worthy as a slave, if you are lucky enough to be allowed to breed, if you are lucky enough your children win their freedom and are lucky enough that they gain favour with the Holders. Then one day your decendents may reach a position of reverence in the Empire. Just as long as your luck holds and you or your decendents don't join the millions dead each year in the camps. A million to one shot if you like.

Remind me, which one was the lottery again?

Actually the custom of Pale Eyes taking the vow of silence is more commonly followed in the Republic. There are many enclaves where it is not treated so harshly. On the far end of the scale it is said those in the hidden city of Vo'shun on the Starkmanir homeworld sing the ancient songs regardless of mark.

That is the key to the Voluval. It does not decide your destiny, it just reveals it. How those around you, and more importanyly yourself, react to that is a different matter.

Actually, no. There is one vital difference between our two statements, albeit since it is a rather small difference it may have escaped your limited perception.

To clarify. Your fellow slaver stated anyone even answering positively to the Defiants message can consider themselves marked for death. In the typical slaver fashion, you are willing to take lives even for merely speaking one's mind.

I however, warned any captains to refrain from actively helping the 7th Fleet in the Bleak Lands, or be shot on sight.

In other words, my threat is the threat of a warrior, Gaven Lokri's is the threat of a tyrant.

I am not surprised the difference escaped your notice.

You can not be as stupid as you sound. You call Lord Gaius Kador a tyrant for saying those who support a group of terrorsts will die?

What of you, you disgusting filth and vermin kill anyone and everyone you can for simply living in the REGION of providence.

Lets see..... which sounds like the greater extreme, saying you will punish those who support your enemy... or murdering everyone you can find because they live in a particular area.

"What of you, you disgusting filth and vermin kill anyone and everyone you can for simply living in the REGION of providence"

It's so interesting to glimpse into the mind of the enemy from time to time. You think we kill the residents of Providence because they live in Providence? Nothing to do with them being slavers, servants of the Amarr Empire and enemy collaborators? Amazing how twisted the minds of these religious fanatics can get.
