Changed to link. Image is stretching the forum . Navigator

This evening CVA forces were informed that SASRIPPER - a well known pirate - was using his Nyx Mothership to attack innocent neutrals in the Sukanan constellation of the Amarr Empire.

As per CVA's anti-piracy policy a fleet was swiftly gathered and a trap laid for the pirate Mothership.

Seeing his doom approaching SASRIPPER self-destructed his Nyx to successfully deny CVA the killmail.

While the Nyx Mothership is no longer as rare as it was, (and indeed they seem to dying with increasing regularity across the galaxy), we felt this kill was worthy of public attention - if only to serve as a warning to all pirates thinking of operating in the Amarrian Empire.

Will you elaborate on this trap please? I see he is on a gate seemingly alone, did he not have an emergency cyno or support? Since there was no KM I don't know what ships you used, any hictors?

The really amusing thing here is that SASRIPPER's corp is called "Die With Honor"

I myself was plagued by the Nyx and some of the other Die with Honor members when I was running courier contracts in Tash-Murkon this afternoon. I'm glad to see CVA was able to step in and handle this nuisance. Well done!

Piracy is a growing plague. Congratulations to CVA for this victory. Hopefully, this blow will lower pirates capabilities in the vicinity.

It is sad that he managed to self destruct, and CVA didn't get to salvage the infidels wreck or get a nice kill mail from our mighty police force, we must not forget the most important fact here, another pirate down in flames!! ;..;

Good job my amarrians! Next time, I hope you need Caldari Guns!

Anyone self-destructing a capital ship should have his license to fly one revoked, yes there should be licenses to keep those lamers out of one.
