I've only briefly glanced it over but it looks like goons have been ganking Exumers pretty heavily recently. Granted I don't know if they were macro miners or not, but it was interesting to see. |

They weren't macrominers, it's just goons out playing silly buggers in hisec. It doesn't cost them anything (T1 ship - plat insured) so they can suicide easy targets (Exhumers and barges and indys) and get their jollies that way. Apparently BoB are too tough for them so they've run to empire...  |

That's like saying Eve is too tough for you so you ran to the forums.  I sincerely doubt Goonswarm in its entirety is in empire, or indeed that this has anything to do with their conflicts elsewhere. |

If you have a combat character and some friends with guns, you might want to consider sending a bait mining barge or two towards a known hot-spot for this sort of thing. If fit right, the barge will not get destroyed and you can have some fun pew-pew revenge. Just food for thought.
To be honest, I'm not even sure if that works in high-sec... |

They're just doing it to restore morale (and some isk) after they lost the momentum in the south war.
Most regular goons are probably tired of being in a serious buisness alliance with serious losses in what now looks like a long war where people get to boss them around at odd hours and stuff.
The few goons i know are a terribly anarchic and drama-prone bunch, so the leadership probably decided it's time to organise some fun for them before the discontent gets out of hand.
So they're sortof going back to their roots, flying cheap stuff en masse getting pubbies angry for kicks as they used to when they just started.
At least that's my view of it.

Wow got to admire the skill and tenacity of blowing up Mining Barges in High sec dont you? I dont mind folk having fun but blowing up people minding there own business is in poor taste imho. Personally, I'm very offended by the talk of Jihad that Goonswarm and its corps are ranting about on local. As a proud American, I'm hurt by how easy that very strong word gets used. I have not forgot 9/11, and neither should anyone else in the free world.
Just like the terrorist's back on that horrible day, the Goonswarm and all their associated corps have cowardly attacked miners in high sec with nothing to loose. Then they spout off religious rants in local forcing their beliefs on their victims. I for one will not follow nor tolerate it. In fact, when my time card runs out, I will be cancelling my subscription until CCP does something to stop what is going on.
If I were associated with the Goons in any way, I would be hanging my head in shame on what my fellow Alliance members were doing. Show some balls, stop ganking miners. Any noob can pop a mining ship, show me your real stats and fight a real war without having to hide like the cowards that you are now. Next thing you'll be doing is can baiting the noobs. Just a bunch of wusses in my opinion. |
