After a quick CEO meeting it was decided what to do, and Dianabolic was chosen to act on BoB's behalf. On wednesday we finalized everything. I'm sad to say Dri, that i have lied to you. This is my personal apology to you as a person for those lies. Not to MC, not to Tortuga, but to you, and only you, since you will be blamed for all of this, since you trusted my word. I am now breaking my word.  Quote:

Bait is out for objective 2. Either MC commits for 49 attack, or they won't get paid for the station upgrade. Im sorry, but this is all blatant lies from me, not a single word is true. Quote:

Needless to say I find this all IMMENSELY entertaining and I hope this won't stop Tortuga from continuing your attempts on 49-u, I apologize for blobbing so heavily last night, I didn't think CVA would bring 100 people when I asked them for help, and I had no idea AAA would show up with 70. I had fun, I hope some of you were able to lock stuff, I know how much it sucks to jump into a gatecamp and die before loading, took me like 30 minutes to get to the fight from n-m and start shooting stuff, so ugh. since your O-so-evil i'll give you some mad props.
here is a paragraph from the MC Leadership forums reagrding this issue.

BOB as of tonight will have the mistake corrected regarding dropping a tower without permission. They have appologised and I will continue talking with them about this in the coming weeks.
This was and still is my idea. It was not told my BOB, it was not requested by BOB! I don't want this system because it works outside the original goals for this Alliance. I understand it granted a new area for NPCing and was an interesting area for mission running, but with it comes more trouble than it's worth.
I have no fear of BOB, in fact I'm realistic that someday eventually we will end up on opposite sides again and I look forward to that day. What I can control is as to how this comes about somewhat and also when.
BOB are clear about one thing, they want Delve to be declared BOB space to make their point. 1 thing was repeated regardless of how the topic was approached and to whom I was speaking with, they want C3N as their own. Controlling this in the manner that BOB put their attentions towards their other boarders serves our better interests.

We thought this Bob Border Respect shi.. was exactly that, and I have been very vocal about it. Dri I think was suckered in a little, but I think he admires Molle as a person and respects him as a friend, and hence wanted to believe in him.
KIA committed a while back to having a little look at 49U because for us it represents a good move, and something to do as we waited for a decent sized contract to come in. It also represents a good staging point for Empire to home Jump Bridge POS etc etc.
What I am getting at is that before the conversation with Molle the 49U subject had been broached and agreed, we thought in essence we were playing BoB a little as we planned to do have a look into it anyways :P
This really is no surprise at all to most of Tortuga, including most of the MC leadership. Fair play to Molle for his slyness, he made Dri and a few others believers, but playing on respect is an easy thing to do.
As for KIA and Tortuga, changes nothing.
The next few moths in the lives of all the players of Eve is gonna be intersting, and fun. Who knows what the future holds, as long as its as much fuin as the last 3 months, you won't ever see me crying :) |
