Ok we've got the new grahpics, so can we see the Jove ships in the new graphics. And will we ever see them in game? As part of the story?

I hope to god they never make it as flyable ships, but I'd also like to see how they look in trinity if they've been redone |

I don't know what the storyline guys have in store for the Jove, but they were not updated in the Trinity patch last year. As such, if you do, ever, see one in space, you... well... you won't see it. It simply doesn't load up a model |

Well on a bit of a serious note, there WERE plans to have the Jove in the game. Think of their ships like a Tier 5. They do (or did) have modules for fittings (at one time there was a flap when one of the Dev's gave out a "beginner" Jovian mining laser that was way better than anything on the market at that time) for the Jovian ships.
As I remember it, the plan was to be able to have your character "morph" into it's Jovian equivalent (with the aid of biomass.. corpse collection anyone?) and you could move out to Jove space.
Now however I don't know if those plans are still in play or if they have scrapped them... I for one would love to know if that was still on the "roadmap". |

They were actually T20, but they had to give him them back. |

I had heard this, but from what I remember it was more thought about pre-release, and was eventually decided to be a bad idea. I'm sure there were lots of them. At this point it would be silly idea to let people become Jove, because of course, either those people are ridiculously powerful, or Jove ships lose their impressiveness for the sake of balance. Far better to let them stay as non-player characters in the backstory, or perhaps for events. |

I completely agree with you. The Jove should remain an unknown entity, something in EVE that is at a constant state of wonder. Though, I would like to see the Jove more involved in New Eden events. Perhaps a Jove Mothership would be spotted somewhere on the outskirts of New Eden by an NPC reporter. Or, even a capsuleer could spot one ever now and then, just on the brim of their sensor range. Now that, I would love to see. |
