I was in Recruitment channel last week posting i was looking for a new corp to join.
Pne of the players that convoed me was Solaris Kal'tech. He told me he was with goons and explained a little about his alliance. I thought it sounded good, so i went ahead and contracted him my ships to be jumped in. He then told me that he needed a 200 mil deposit to make sure i did not steal from corp assets, as that has just been done. Well, I realized it was a scam then and refused.
Well, i thought that was very low, so i started convos with other corp ceos in the alliance and was referred to Vio Geraci, who i was told is a diplomat. So I convoed him and he told me that it is not goons policy to scam recruits. But also, that it would not be the first time someone tried to get someone booted. So i thought what the hell, lets find out if there are any honest goons. I sent him the 200 mil to show that i was telling the truth, and would like my ships back.
well, in the end, he just tells me that i learned a lesson, that ppl cant be trusted, and keeps the 200 mil.
Lesson learned. Dont trust anyone, especially if they are goons.

OP is an enormous "person with intellectual shortcomings". Goon recruitment is very easy. You member of something awful forums, you get into goons. You not member of something awful forums and want to get into goons? You get scammed. simple.

I don't think it's a troll, I've heard people whining about being scammed by the Cal Tech ("Kal'tech") guy before. You know, the guy that stole your internet spaceships is probably building real ones. |

I can also take the security deposit in the form of modules, minerals and/or ships if you are low on liquid isk.
