Hmmm. Extra standings to lessen the agent grind or quickly get into faction war I can see as a perk to buy the box but what exactly does 2x rewards mean? Double bounties and mission reward gains for a while? Also what is a VIP pass?

The box was made as a mock-up to show their intentions. No way jose they're ever going to add bonuses like extra standing, double rewards and a 'VIP pass' (whatever it may be). I can just imagine the ****storm on the forums.

Man the FreeSpace box.. that had something going for it. And it was cool too.. all the Descent series games (and FreeSpace included) had the little pop-out effects. Like the Diamond Claw on the D2 box, the Lucifer on the FS1 box and the ships and lasers on the FS2 box.

EVE is way more deserving than a flat "LOOK AT THESE AWARDS THAT ARE OVER 5 YEARS OLD AND LOTS OF TEXT EVERYWHERE".

Bring some action to the box or use the guy's box that we all loved in that one thread a long time ago.

Box design sucks.

Seriously, I would have thought that CCP would know how small a part of eve the spaceflight bit is!

The points at the bottom are clearly the product of some office juniors task at 4:55pm on a friday afternoon "Come up with 6 bullet points for box cover". No mention of the most realistic economy in any game, most comprehensive grouping systems (fleet + corp), etc etc.

And tbh, the artwork sucks. A few dreads and a Mothership in a Star Trek pose, with a carrier going pop, pathetic, doesn't do this game justice. Besides, when are the newbs buying it ever gonna see that sight? First 6 months? maybe, but they won't be at the helm.

Redesign methinks.

The Amarr painted a religious symbol on it which the Caldari then sold to Minmatar as an "Advanced Combat Rig"
