Interviews with Dianabolic (of BoB) and The Mittani (of Goons) are aired. Later on in the broadcast we bring both on live together, Jerry Springer ensues. We send reporters into Delve to get a feel for what's going on, while reports flood in giving us the latest on battles as they happen and stations that are being captured. You get to relive Eve History as it happened. Dianabolic Interview: The original Dianabolic interview, also aired on the full show. The Mittani Interview: The original The Mittani interview, also aired on the full show. ================= Just a heads up to the community. I've just gotten done interviewing Dianabolic of Reikoku as to what happened from the BoB persepctive and what it all means, and he had an interesting challenge for the ones responsible. We're presently working on getting a rep from Goonswarm to make a statement as well, and there may be reps from one or both alliances guesting on the show today. All that, plus any updates and details as we get them. If anyone has any specific questions about what happened that we can try to answer, please let me know below or through eve-mail, and of course if you're from BoB or Goons and have any first hand knowledge of what's going on, we'd love to hear from you. I usualy dont bother with alliance politics, but this could be interesting, i must admit.
anybody know how long exactly these two entities have been going at each other, i think its around 3 years now, i am not sure. |

Will downloadable copies of this broadcast be available just incase? The stream keeps buffering for me and my corp mates, and I think it's only going to get worse as 19:00 approaches.
Also, just heard your buffering comment, and it buffered while you were talking about it :) Still, a downloadable copy would be very nice. |

There is still the open possibility of getting reps from both alliances on at the same time, we're just working out the logistics. EDIT: Quote:

Both interviews will be available for download after the show, if things get very interesting we may make the whole show available for DL. As far as buffering, we're currently experiencing a jump in listener numbers, tonight's broadcast will be at 64k to make sure we can handle at least 1100 connections, so buffer should clear up arounf 1900. |

Just made some adjustments to the stream so from 19:00 there will be enough capacity to cover this fine. We tend not to have 600 people tuned in on a warmup slot but I think we can all agree today isn't normale fare. |

Yeah, we're opening a 3rd stream now. I think we all knew this was going to be big, but we weren't expecting quite this much interest. Everything will be available for download after the show for those having extreme problems. |

Please discuss what their opinion of this mechanic is. While it appears this was a legal (under game terms) and a genuine coup by Goons it has been noted here and there that it is an amazingly perverse mechanic to take advantage of. Votes are required for any number of things, just removing roles takes 24 hours (to name two). Yet a whole Alliance can be automagically swept away instantly and with a few clicks?
The Mittani (I think it was him) suggested this has happened before albeit not on this scale. CCP was either unaware or aware and did not care or put it at the bottom of some list and has never gotten around to it.
So, rather large oversight on mechanics by CCP or working as intended?

lol...no doubt. But I bet it is something both would agree should be changed. Or at least I think they would. What can happen to BoB could happen to Goons too. Just takes one ticked off person with relevant rights and *blam*...no alliance. |
