Test Server (SiSi, Singularity, BFC and so on) just opened today with some candy made by CCP, among them is a brand new stacking change to check out. The change from the current known stacking limitations are in the calculations made to modules listed with a loss of effectiveness when stacked too many times.
In small details: stacking two to three modules now become more efficient than you currently see on Tranquility, four being about the same as they are now, while the efficiency of five or more stacked modules gets ... bad....
Also the dreaded problem of stacking super and lamer modifiers giving zero and negative values has been fixed (like the crazy tracking computer modified by cormack himself and a basic tracking enhancer could do if you got unlucky when dragging the modules to your ship).
The system is brand new and just got out to public testing today, so try it out and leave behind feedback of any kind; bugs, imbalance and general bad smell of any kind.

Not sure if it's a bug, or a 'feature' but the criminal flag timer is saying I'm flagged for shooting Guristas. Also, the "Warping to x" notice is appearing in orange, though seems corp mates aren't getting that problem. *kicks computer* (Along with the distance to warp bubble collapse being gone...) New font is... well, horrible :) Market doesn't seem to be working correctly. Sell orders are displayed incorrectly. Can't say I'm too fond of the new character sheet... But I could get used to it. Looking forward to the new mirror, might actually be able to test ships out then :D Also, as someone else said ^, would it be possible to get accelerated training back?

I don't like the new font, can't pin down exactly why it just doesn't look as good. Also I see that you reduced the drone size already but didn't change the skills involved, that makes it hard to test with ;)

To be honest, I have yet to have a decent experience in Test server. The only thing that I can do is quit my corp and join FC. Thats the only actual way to get gear. Not to mention, how are we supposed to test new items out? Wait a few months for the skills to train up? I dont know the programming and limitations of Sisi at all, but I would think that enabling some sort of instant training would actualy help out tremendously. It would be nice if all the market items were seeded. I mean all of them. Ships, mods, skills. everything. Cant there be some uber producer alt of the devs that builds everything and sells it all at 1 isk each? There does not need to be hundreds of them, 2 for each region of Empire, a few in 0.0 as well. Just a few thoughts of a frustrated player.

Is anything going to be done to warp core stabs? I mean, if people are only using at most 4 dmg mods, that means they just free'd up all those slots and lose nothing by fitting wcs.

@Zarthanon... you can fit tracking enhancers and dmg mods in lows... for ex... 4 HS II and 4 tracking enhancers on arma will give very nice DPS on cr/hac :)

Sounds cool, so this would mean that even stacking a 5% and a 50% bonus means you get about 51% and not 38% bonus? (if I read it correctly) CCP, is there a date set (even a tentative date) for RMR and if so what are you trying to put in? Basicaly trying to plan around the holidays as I will most likely not get a whole lot of time to enjoy EVE with the skiing and the christmas tree's and stuff... Knowing what will be in will enable present a better case to my girlfriend as to why I should play that stupid game again (her words not mine, and yes I consider her unworthy ;-) )

I like the new stacking concept, but wish they'd fix a few other things as well. While I'm an Amarr pilot, I feel sorry for friends of mine who are Caldari & Gallentene. In the past they nerfd missles, boostd artillary, and now are nerfing drones. Sucks to be anything other then Minmitarr or Amarr. Also with tanking, the most uber shield booster can boost 720 HPs for 400 energy cost, while the most uber armor booster can boost over 1200 HPs for the same 400 energy cost. That means armor boosting ships will always boost faster. Also, when it comes to resistance, armor resitance is easy to upgrade, while shield resistance levels are always lower for same skill levels and numbers of mods. Point is, time to give up on all Caldari ships, shield boosting ships, missle boats, and now drone ships too. Stick to artillary guns or laser guns. They get instant damage, have the best range, the most damage per hit, and havent got nerfd. Thank goodness Im still a newbie & havent trained alot of useless skills.

CTRL + R, Weee!! insta jumps nerf, Weee!! (but maybe, boo! have to wait and see) New Char Sheet is good, yet to test jump clones. New stacking bones and HP increase is good. Yet to try drones but funny error message if your drone bay is "too full". New Camera stuff is fun. New Rats are gona be good too I think. The bug hunters are gona be busy though as there are a few but I like to talk about th good stuff.

@Captain Nephi... you are pretty new... total repair values means nothing... divide the total repair value by the cycle time to see the true value of any repper... or booster...you'll see that shield and armor are much more comparable like that ... Also... Shield boosters give their HP at the start of the cycle... while armor reppers give them at the end... sounds trivial but it makes a noticeable difference in short engagements... also note that a module exists to boost shield booster efficiency (shield boost amplifier) ... haven't seen one for armor just yet :)

Actually, it would be really nice is you could see the overall modification you're getting when fitting your ship. I.e. +9.23% ROF, +1.23% Tracking etc.

I like this new system. on TQ, my cyclone shoots 38KM optimal with 3 T2 tracking enchancers. The test server has me doing 40KM optimal with the exact same set-up. Cheers :)

What is different about the Char sheet? 3. Why do WCS need to be "nerfed"? 4. What does CTRL+R do? 5. What new camera stuff was added? Sorry if I sound like I singled anyone out. We could need a stack of the New Skill Books inside the Fight Club Station. 1) Overview dosend work if ya deselcting any stuff in the Control Panel 2) Char sheet looks mutch organised now, (just missing my Char Face inside all, but the first tab. Any chance to get the Face as Background for the other tabs?) 3) The Log colors looks a little messed between the Log itself and the Display on the Screen. (screen colours are Yellow or Orange instead White for "civil" actions like warp to & docking) 4) Insta Nerf is atm really Bad, we at least we need some kinda Skill to influence the diffrents between 30 and 2 Km from the "Warp Exit" (really disapointing if ya need to get 30km in the pod on the way back from FFA to Fight Club Station on SISI) 5) Drones look good, they are a lot thoughter now. 6) Whats with the "in testing" patchnotes? Ok sorry I won;t be getting on Test Server so I have a question for those that are. What about Link Tracking enhancers. If a ship as 4 tracking enhancers and is getting boosted by anouther ship to increase tracking is it nerfed? Not sure why anyone would do this but I just want to know because the mods are out there so we can try things like this. Thanks

i agree with cooler2 most ganks happen after you jump in. the deviation of warp-in needs to be reduced to maybe to a lesser variance. or at least add a skill to make warping in at 0 more accurate.

I'll refine that, all one two ships need now to gank a hauler is a scout to see that the hauler is warping. When the hauler is warping, gange jumps gate - has a smoke and waits for hauler to arrive 0-15 km from gate?

First i'd like to say that some of the changes on Sisi looks real good, the Brutix with extra PG is a joy to fly, and the recycle directly from hangar REALLY made my day. So overall, things look good so far. However, there is still the issue with drones. While I can to a certain extent understand the need to try cutting down lag by reducing users to only 5 drones (still don't get it, but one has to be diplomatic), I simply don't get the 50% reduction of ALL drone bays. To me it would have made more sense ONLY looking at reducing drone bays LARGER than 125 m3, or if the ship in question had a bay between 125 and 250 m3, then reduce the bay to 125 m3, i.e. 5 heavy drones. The way it has been done, now means that barges, for instance, have had their defences SERIOUSLY reduced, as a medium barge went from 5 medium drones to now only 5 light drones. With the present skill tree on Sisi, the drones do the same amount of damage as before, and there's just no way of increasing that. While the drones have been tanked up a bit, it still takes a LOT longer to send something to the cloning center with drones now. And while I'm at it, i like the smaller, tougher spawns in low sec, but is it just me, or do they hardly do any damage at the moment?? Fought 3 cruisers yesterday, and they hardly even made any damage to my shields, despite a 5 minute battle. Closing statement: keep up the good work!

Havent had chance to hop on test server lately. If this ctrl + R thing reloads all guns and launchers, could there also be an option to change all crystal types on all guns to the 1 type with just the 1 click? (takes ages to switch all 8 guns on an apoc to a different crystal type for example) being able to right click on the 1 gun and select a crystal type for all 8 with 1 click would be great, same could be done for all gun ammo changes and missile launchers too?

oh wow a stacking change BFS you still dont get full % of even one mod and you think you did something lol only thing i have seen you guys do it slap 1 year and new players in the face with a crap load of BS skills to train all from the Cry baby vet player we dont own eve no more noobs and 12 mounth old players are taken over waaa waaa start nerfing the skill times on stuff that dont matter like the basic things people need in eve mining is so lame as is and the modo skills for a good miner is wacked i mean come on mining is like the lowest job to have id like to see trash men that have to have collage or ditch diggers

About the replyes about the fonts on sisi server, since there is no threads on it. Dont change the old fonts the new one are really agressing my eyes. Have a perfect vision, but heck there just plain anoying after a while. I cant explain what it is exactly, but it's really too anoying. The old fonts you did'nt see them really and they are exactly what there supposed to be, but on sisi there plain visible so I guess they just demand to much visual input on the eye. You grow tired of them really fast.

I 2nd the concept of a navagational skill that would reduce the warp in distance from 0-15 down to 0-3 km when fully trained. The rest I can get used to.

its almost impossible to break a Ravens Tank as is and THis destroys 1400 artillery hurting a raven. UNless you can stack a full set of damage mods and run a shield tank you can bust a ravens tank and i have 1400 t2's and Specilization 4. Unless i want to use a retarded DOmi setup with 6 nos and kill him with Drones in which case your nerfing the drones as well

super it has not, i have 6.2mill in missiles atm and caldari bs 5 and i throw on 4 ballistic control 2's with 2 power diags with my raven and i shoot 100 times harder, 100 times farther, 100 times faster then before ive never been at a better peek with my raven. you just need to train the skills

Seemed like they were one of the nicest features of the game, like - you can have a ranged warp _or_ you can put in time and effort to get yourself closer the next time round. One option was maybe to prevent instas being handed out to others? I.e. forcing you to do the work personally. OTOH the concept of a bit of randomness on warp termination seems valid. I'm torn.

You guys are making me consider trying any other online game! Quit tinkering with the stuff that works fine,lets fix the real bugs: sloppy code, redundant data loading, client/server overcommunications, client CTD and the damn server side code bloat. Look, a college programming freshman can see you are not providing enough array space for items, and the damn client ought to cache a lot of the stuff that does not change every minute. Plus, why load every object in the solar system every time you enter the system? have two classes: local and system-wide. POS, lost drones, NPC's at a belt of POI do not have to be loaded for a ship just passing through. You guys need to look at architecture , not content. And you really are going to lose us if you keep changing the rules in the middle of the game... that's NOT FAIR!

what ccp really needs to address is travel time in eve...I have never played a game that took so long to get from point A to point B. Yes, I know that there are advantages and disadvantages to that. But CCP really needs to figure out a way to speed up travelling. Maybe this insta "nerf" will actually help the majority of people. H

I have to agree TOTALLY with Little Fistter. Haven't you heard the expression "If it isn't broke, don't fix it."? Apparently not. Getting rid of instas makes me want to kick you all in the balls... There are Mobile Warp Disruptors in the game for a reason... or sis you forget you put them there? They work wonderful if you dont want anyone passing through. I enjoy instas becasue they allow me the Option of retreating from a situation that does not favor me... other than logging out, thats not what you guys are going for right? That is why you added the 15min aggro timer after combat. Instas work for everyone the same already, I know when someone uses them to get away from me, that I can turn around and do the same thing. But if my opponent is smart/fast enough to put a bubble up, my options are SERIOUSLY limited. They work fine how they are, please DO NOT change them. -Col

I posted this comment on another blog earlier, but it bears repeating..... something on BMs that I have not seen mentioned, that I think would be an easy and effective fix. Remove the ability to BM within, say, 100km of any superstructure, IE station or stargate. this keeps the integrity and utility of marking space for mining, safety, loot, or whatever, while cutting down on the majority of BM lag. Next, allow players to warp to 5km. after warp bubble collapse, the resulting inertia should easily put the ship in jump range, effectively allowing an "insta". perhaps remove the aggression timer on 0.0 gates to increase PvP action in no-sec space to compensate. Theres no cops there, what do the gates care if you shoot someone? I think a good 90% if not more of my BMs are gate to gate/station. with this idea, the 10% that have value for everything but travel remain, and the reasons for having the other 90% is gone.

Umm... great job, but while you did that you messed up sensor dampners and now when you usea damp on an enemy ship fitted with sensor booster they get penalised for effecting the same attributes....
