Tranquility on ... Tranquility?

We spotted and fixed the major issues that were causing outages during the weekend and early this week. There are however some minor issues left which this situation emphasized and we're now focusing on addressing.

Lately, we have heard of disconnects from Tranquility, but there have been no clear pattern to them. We would like to hear from you if you are still experiencing them over the next days. However, we should point out that many of the cases that reach us are traced to packet loss in transit to our servers. We suggest our you check out PingPlotter to check out your connection. If you are getting packet loss (redish stuff in the diplay) this is most likely the reason for your problems.

This is usually not located in networks under our control, but we have measures to address some of the problems. That is achieved with "multi-homing", multiple internet backbone connections to Tranquility. This provides your internet connection with other optional routes to access the Tranquility cluster and can in some cases fix disconnections issues, which is part of our long term connectivity plans.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
