The Corax adheres to the well-established Caldari design philosophy that there is strength in numbers, and that the messages sent to an enemy should be strong and unequivocal. This applies equally to peace talks as it does to actual engagements on the battlefield - there should be no doubt in the strength of Caldari spirit, nor in the fact that when one blow has been struck, others are going to follow.
Designed to fit Missile Launchers, the Corax is capable of projecting weapon damage at farther effective distances than any other Tech I destroyer – leading to broad use of “kiting” tactics by its pilots, who keep far out of range of their targets’ own weapons while hitting them as hard as possible.
The Corax is an ideal ship for both fighting other Capsuleers in fearsome PvP combat – making ample use of its ability to outrange enemy weapons with utter ease, and running level 1 and even most level 2 Security Missions, where competent pilots may easily outmaneuver and destroy their targets.
