A hardy cargo-running vessel that was developed by the Thukker Tribe to service its caravaners, the Probe is significantly bulkier than most other Minmatar frigates and possesses limited offensive capabilities, instead preferring to avoid conflict altogether in its duties.
With limited offensive capabilities due to its maximum of two turret modules and having no bonuses to their operation, the Probe instead must rely on the maximum 3 Light Drones it may launch and control at once – though the trick to effective exploration is to remain aware, and to escape before one may be caught in the first place.
Exploration-focused Tech I frigates as a whole provide bonuses to Scan Probe strength, Relic and Data Analyzer potency, and Salvager duration. The Probe provides a balanced slot layout with 4 mid slots and 3 low, and it is the fastest of the four Tech I Exploration Frigates – allowing it to be fit flexibly for a variety of situations and uses in the field of exploration, with powerful scan probes, Analyzers, high mobility, and the cargo capacity to handle various level 1 and 2 Distribution Missions.
