Hello spacefriends and welcome to another Community Beat! We approach the end of the year as the icy fingers of Sansha Claws stretch forth with Winter Nexus starting next week. Win a Trip to Fanfest 2026
EVE Amsterdam organizer Amiomia is once again running her Win a Trip to Fanfest contest. At EVE Amsterdam last month the community raised €3,000 which will go towards handling the costs of sending some lucky capsuleers to Iceland for Fanfest 2026. Included in the prize are flights, accommodation, airport transfers and Fanfest tickets.
To enter the contest you just have to share your story about why you deserve to win this trip. You can find more info and the link to the entry form on Ami's site here. Submissions close on 10 December so don't wait too long!
Triff Tools Industrial Revolution
Triff Tools is a broad suite of tools to help with just about every aspect of mining, refining, research and production. Basically if it has something to do with industry you'll find a calculator, browser, appraiser or converter to help you with it. It has some handy wormhole tools as well! Triff Tools creator Triffnixxx has recently released a significant update for it and you can read what they had to say here.
Triad Tyranny Tournament
This new tournament organized by Astral Acquisitions brings with it some interesting innovations such as rules that change as the tournament goes on, switching from 3v3 to a 4v4 format along with points and match duration changes. It promises to be a very fresh and dynamic tournament experience! To watch just tune in to Lorumerth's Twitch channel from 17:00 EVE time on Saturday 6 December to watch the official tournament broadcast!
Faction Warfare Blood Brawl
Also happening on Saturday 6 December, New Eden's Faction Warfare community are one again coming together to absolutely not put their differences aside - they're just going to shoot each other in a slightly more organized way.
The lowsec system of Auga will play host to the 3rd annual Faction Warfare Blood Brawl and all four Empire militias as well as the pirate factions will be turning up for this massive brawl. You too can get involved, just check out this Reddit post with all the details, decide who to support and join the relevant Discord server listed for more information. Kinetic diplomacy starts at 21:00 EVE time.
Luminaire Snowball Fight XII
As is tradition in New Eden, Commander A9 is once again organizing the annual Luminaire Snowball Fight. This year is it's 12th edition which is amazing to see! It's taking place on 14 December at 19:00 EVE time in - you guesed it - Luminaire. Bring your snowballs and lots of fireworks and optimize those graphics for Quality because the light show on grid looks gorgeous on max settings. There's a schedule and some prizes up for grabs too, so check out the thread on the official forums for all the details! See you there!
Now let's look at some high quality cinema that popped up in recent weeks, starting with this video from Deimos24 of Honor Point where a group of outnumbered capsuleers punch well above their weight and exact a significant butcher's bill for their opponents to contend with. Typically we try not to facilitate Goon propaganda in these pages, especially since they're already smug enough about what went down in the drone lands, but it's kind of hard to look past this four minute long impressively animated shitpost from Powervul:

EVE Glasgow
Long-running EVE player meetup EVE Glasgow is happening at the end of the month, sneaking itself in between Christmas and the New Year. It will be held at the Hillhead Bookclub from 14:00 local time on Saturday, 27 December. Connect with the Glasgow EVE community by joining their Discord and the Scottish EVE community in-game by joining the Tartan Army chat channel.
Washington DC Meetup
This multi-day EVE meetup returns in 2026 from 16 - 19 January. Hosted by Rampage Inc it welcomes capsuleers from all walks of New Eden for various social and sightseeing activities in the waterfront Wharf district of Washington DC. There's a lot happening - more than we put in a couple of paragraphs in a Community Beat so if you're in the area and would like to come you should join the Rampage Inc Discord for more info!
