Enforcer
Rise through the ranks and earn your way to the top
Where's all the ISK at?
Sometimes all you need to do is make a bit of cash without too much complexity. One way to do that in Highsec is to work your way up the corporate ladder by completing missions for NPC Agents. With rewards increasing in line with your skill and ability to complete more difficult missions, Highsec PvE can act as a great springboard into more difficult PvE or even PvP content. The universe is wide open for you, but you have to start somewhere.
Activities
For those seeking to keep the peace, New Eden provides no shortage of targets. Whether you contact Agents for directed missions, hunt down pirates for bounties, fight back Sansha’s Nation in Incursions, or dive into Abyssal Deadspace to engage in conduit-loop proving, maintaining order can be a great source of wealth.
Fits to fly
If you want to survive Security missions in EVE then you need to prepare. This means fitting enough defensive (tank) modules to your ship to survive while also ensuring that you have the weapons to destroy other ships, the speed to maneuver, and enough capacitor to run all of your modules. The first step in this process will be in selecting your ship. You can view all of the options for any faction from the Ship Tree.
Since Security missions will involve staying in the mission site for an extended period of time, you will want to use active modules such as Shield Boosters or Armor Repairers to continually repair damage. These are used instead of buffer modules - Shield Extenders or Armor Plates - which will eventually run down to zero, likely with an explosion soon to follow. The exception to this rule is the occasional use of passive shield regeneration. By using Core Defense Field Purgers and a mix of Shield Power Relays, Flux Coils, Extenders, or Rechargers, some pilots will aim to have their shield regenerate on its own while it takes damage.
Regardless of your tank choice, an important part of running these missions is to recognize which damage type the hostiles will deal. This is seen in the Show Info panel when right clicking on a hostile NPC. By knowing this in advance, it's possible to prepare with specific hardeners against their damage types. Knowing just how much damage you need to tank is going to come from experience. A good tactic is to start out with lots of defensive modules and then to reduce them in exchange for damage or speed if you feel that you can.
To get started as an Enforcer, you should begin with a combat frigate such as the Merlin then move up to a destroyer like the Corax.
Skills to survive
Training the right skills to survive is a vital part of growing as a Capsuleer. While Mining and Distribution missions will largely follow a similar skill plan to the Industrial career, Security missions are an entirely different beast. Training combat skills for these is an absolute must in order to survive the onslaught. Below are a few examples of specific skillsets that would be useful in early missions to help you begin to specialize to take on more difficult content.
Another great way to start out is by selecting one of the certified Skill Plans in-game. As an Enforcer you can select a plan for a Mission Runner or Bounty Hunter, both of which will let you automatically insert the skills you need into your skill queue!
